Description

ZviZZer Heavy Cut (HC1500) is a professional Compound-type polish (coarse correction grit) for repairing significant to major defects on a clear coat (medium and deep scratches, restoration of polished surfaces).

Its correction grit is very high and the concentration of aluminum oxide (abrasive power) is well above that of other compounds generally encountered, and slightly higher than that of the ZviZZer Detailing range (notably the HC4000). As its name suggests, ZviZZer Heavy Cut (HC1500) will thus be capable of removing P1500 wet sanding marks.

That said, the finish left by this polish is not to be overlooked. For such an abrasive compound, you can expect a very fine finish requiring little to no follow-up work if you work ZviZZer Heavy Cut (HC1500) for a long time.

Professionals looking for performance and speed will benefit greatly from using this polish, as its cutting performance is exceptional.

Like all water-based polishes in the ZviZZer range, ZviZZer Heavy Cut (HC1500) will produce very little dust, can be worked for a long time while remaining sufficiently liquid to avoid drying out too quickly. Although initially designed to be used with the green Thermo Pad Green pad (professional range), in line with the characteristic ZviZZer color code, you can nevertheless use ZviZZer Heavy Cut (HC1500) with all pad colors in the professional range, as well as with the excellent Doodle Pad wool pad or the microfiber and hybrid pads in the range.

The great advantage of this polish is its cutting power combined with the level of finish it leaves, as well as its versatility with the choice of pads available to you: foam, wool, microfiber, hybrid.

In our opinion, it is the "Swiss army knife" of the ZviZZer range and a formidable weapon for correcting deep defects, including on hard clear coats.


You will therefore need to make sure you thoroughly degrease your surfaces with an alcohol-based solution (e.g.: Clean Top) before applying a ceramic coating, for example.

How to use ZviZZer Heavy Cut (HC1500)?

  1. Shake the bottle well before use.
  2. Choose your pad to use with ZviZZer Heavy Cut HC1500 (e.g. Thermo Pad Green). All other types of pads from the ZviZZer professional range, such as wool or hybrid, are also suitable.
  3. Spread in an outer circle around your pad.
  4. Start by spreading your polish at low speed (speed 2 on a DA polisher) then increase to speed 5-6 on the DA.
  5. Work your polish thoroughly on a 60x60cm section using straight-line movements and cross-hatch passes.
  6. Once your polish becomes translucent, wipe off with a ZviZZer microfiber towel for a perfect finish.

Tip: Make sure to properly work ZviZZer Heavy Cut HC1500 on a prepared base (chemical and mechanical decontamination). Work in the shade and on cool surfaces only.
