Description
ZviZZer Heavy Cut Scratch Remover (HC4000) is a hard polish (Compound) for correcting significant to major defects on clear coats (medium and deep scratches, correction of polished-buffed finishes).
Its correction grit is very significant and the concentration of aluminum oxide (abrasive power) is well above other compounds generally encountered. Heavy Cut Scratch Remover (HC4000) will thus be capable of working from P1500 grit.
However, the finish left by this polish is not to be overlooked. For such an abrasive compound, you can expect a very fine finish requiring little to no follow-up work if you work Heavy Cut Scratch Remover (HC4000) long enough.
Like all water-based polishes in the ZviZZer range, Heavy Cut Scratch Remover (HC4000) will produce very little dust, can be worked for a long time while remaining sufficiently liquid to avoid drying out too quickly. A real advantage for the detailer looking to optimize their correction quality and working conditions.
Although initially conceived for use with the pink pad, according to the characteristic ZviZZer color code, you can nevertheless use Heavy Cut Scratch Remover (HC4000) with all pad colors in the range, as well as the excellent Doodle Pad wool pad or the microfiber or hybrid pads in the range. The ZviZZer Thermo Trapez or Thermo Allrounder pad models will be perfectly suited.
The big advantage of this polish is its cutting power combined with the level of finish it leaves, but also its versatility with the choice of pads available to you: foam, wool, microfiber, hybrid.
In our opinion, it is the "Swiss Army knife" of the ZviZZer range and a formidable weapon for correcting deep defects, including on hard clear coats.
You will therefore need to make sure you perfectly degrease your surfaces with an alcohol-based solution (e.g.: Clean Top) before applying a ceramic coating.

How to use the ZviZZer Heavy Cut Scratch Remover (HC4000)?
- Shake the bottle well before use.
- Choose your pad to use with ZviZZer HC4000 (Thermo Trapez Rose or Allrounder Rose for example). All other pad types in the ZviZZer range such as microfiber, wool and hybrid are also suitable.
- Apply in a peripheral circle on your pad.
- Start by spreading your polish at low speed (2 on the orbital, 900/1000 rpm on the rotary), then increase to speed 5–6 on the orbital and a minimum of 1800 rpm on the rotary.
- Work your polish for an extended time over a 60x60cm section using straight-line passes and cross-passes.
- Once your polish has turned translucent, wipe off with a pink ZviZZer microfiber for a perfect finish.
Tip: Make sure to work ZviZZer Heavy Cut Scratch Remover HC4000 on a properly prepared surface (chemical and mechanical decontamination). Work in the shade and on cool surfaces only.
