Description
D-A Fine Finishing Foam Pad is the finishing or very light correction pad in the RUPES range. Featuring excellent versatility, it will be perfect for your finishing polishing (ideally use D-A Fine Polish) with orbital or rotary-orbital polishers. It will also allow you to correct some more pronounced defects when used with a more abrasive polish (such as D-A Coarse Polish). This pad truly offers versatility depending on the polish you use with it.
Specifically designed for this type of machine, it is therefore suited to the brand's BigFoot machines as well as the LK900, and other orbital machines from other brands (DAS-Pro mk2).
D-A Fine Finishing Foam Pad will allow for careful finishing or light correction work on all types of clear coats, including very delicate ones.
The rounded edges of the new D-A Foam Pad pads from RUPES ensure better durability on orbital machines that have an eccentric and therefore tend to inadvertently rub the edges.

How to use the RUPES D-A Finishing Foam Pad?
- Ensure you choose the correct pad size for your backing plate (e.g., an 80/100mm RUPES pad is suitable for a 75mm / 3" backing plate).
- Center your mini pad on your backing plate.
- Apply a few pea-sized drops of polish (e.g., RUPES Uno Pure) or any other finishing polish directly onto the pad for the first use. Spread evenly across the foam with your finger. For subsequent passes, 2 pea-sized drops of polish will be sufficient.
- Spread your polish quickly at low speed (speed 2-3 on a dual action polisher) over a small area (approx. 60x60cm).
- Then work your polish at speed 4 maximum over approximately 2 crosshatch passes.
- Finish your pass once the remaining polish haze becomes very thin.
- Wipe off the polish residue with a suitable microfiber towel (e.g., COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS Black Velvet) using a small amount of panel wipe / inspection spray (e.g., RUPES Reveal Lite). Do not use inspection spray on all-in-one / protective polishes like Uno Protect to avoid stripping the protection.
- Inspect your finish and follow up with a protective wax or sealant.
Tip: Regularly clean your pad with a dedicated cleaning solution like ZviZZer Pad Cleaner, to keep your pad completely free of polish dust and prevent fibers from sticking together. Your work and results will be significantly better. Spray Pad Cleaner directly onto the pad, massage the pad between your fingers, and then wipe it down with a microfiber towel or run the pad through a Pad Washer.

Care instructions
- Always clean your pad regularly with Pad Cleaner
- Never leave an object or tool resting on the pad.
- Never clean a pad in a washing machine.
- Always pull gently on the hook-and-loop backing to remove the pad from the backing plate.
