Description

The Rupes Bigfoot Mille LK 900E is a forced rotation machine; it combines the cutting power of a rotary polisher with the safety of a dual-action polisher.

The gears force the
rotation and the orbit forces the movement like a dual-action polisher regardless of the pressure you apply to the Rupes Bigfoot Mille LK 900E.

As a result, this machine will cut more aggressively without needing to apply as much force as with an orbital polisher
. It will have the cutting power of a rotary while retaining the reassuring feel of an orbital.

It features a trigger with a speed controller for greater precision.

Welcome to the new generation of RUPES machines

The advantages of using the RUPES Bigfoot LK900 polisher are numerous, including:

  • Unique dual movement (rotary and orbital combined) gear-driven, allowing a high correction capacity (low orbit) with a refined finish.
  • No loss of speed during use thanks to forced drive.
  • A 9m cable length will allow you to move comfortably around the car.
  • The speed controller, ideally positioned at the top of the housing, allows direct control over the desired rotation speed.
  • The trigger is progressive and will allow the indicated speed setting to be managed gradually.

The RUPES LK900 is a formidable high-end tool, designed for those looking to significantly improve their approach to paint correction with greater efficiency and precision.

Machine sold alone but also available as a BAS kit (polishes, pads and microfibers). Sold with 2 backing plates included (5' and 6').

Instructions for use

How do you use the RUPES LK900 polisher?

  1. Pad/polish selection: Choose the pad/polish combination suited to the work required (specific blue or yellow foam pad, Mille Cutting Pad or Fine Polishing Pad) according to the amount of defects to be corrected).
  2. Positioning: Center your pad on your backing plate.
  3. Polish: Spread your polish in a peripheral circle on the pad or place 3-4 small drops around the edge of the pad.
  4. Working: Work your polish one area at a time, spreading it quickly without pressure at speed 2, for example. Then increase to speed 4 or higher to work the polish slowly in overlapping straight passes, while always keeping the machine moving and flat against the surface! Never leave the machine stationary on one area. Work the polish until the haze becomes translucent.
  5. Wiping: Wipe off polishing residues once the remaining haze is truly translucent. Use a good double-sided microfiber such as the COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS Black Velvet.
  6. Inspection: Always remember to wipe again with an isopropyl alcohol-based solution to inspect your work (e.g., Rupes Reveal Lite).
  7. Finishing: Always carry out a finishing pass with the RUPES Yellow Pad (Fine Mille Polishing Pad) and the dedicated polish (RUPES Fine Mille Compound Gel).

Tip: For best results, remember to use the dedicated pad-cleaning brush (Claw pad tool not included in the kit). Regularly change your foam pad as soon as it becomes too saturated.

Specifications

POWERFUL MACHINE

Very powerful polisher thanks to its gear drive.

PERFECT ERGONOMICS

Excellent handling, manageable weight.

VARIABLE-SPEED TRIGGER

Trigger allowing precise speed control.

PERFORMANCE

Cut comparable to a rotary thanks to the reduced orbit.

Care instructions

Always polish with the polisher flat against the surface. Otherwise, the machine may jump. Keep moving continuously across the surface! Do not apply pressure on sharp bodywork edges.
