RUPES continuously improves its famous Bigfoot to always deliver an exceptional user experience. Thus was born the latest version, the Bigfoot LHR15 Mark V. The Bigfoot system, developed many years ago, significantly reduces polishing time while ensuring a flawless hologram-free finish.


The improvements over the Mark III are numerous. The foundation was already solid with the Mark III, but RUPES completely revised and reworked it to noticeably improve the performance of the machine.

The backing plate first: thinner, ensuring better stability and above all fitted with a rubber peripheral collar to avoid any disastrous collision with a body panel.

One of the major new features concerns the interior of the machine, with a new gear system that significantly reduces vibrations and prevents heat build-up. Efficiency is now improved. Even extended polishing sessions will pose no challenge to this superb machine, the Bigfoot LHR15 Mark V.
Furthermore, this system brings a reduction in machine noise, for better comfort during use.

Another new feature is the now one-piece cover, no longer made of multiple parts. This prevents unwanted flex movements while ensuring perfect control of the machine (better stability).

The machine's ventilation has also been reworked internally to prevent heat build-up that could affect its durability. The detailer will be able to polish for long hours without the unpleasant sensation of an overheating machine.

For the rest, there is no changing an excellent base recipe. A 15mm orbit perfect for all types of surfaces with an excellent correction/finishing ratio. Balanced profile, excellent handling, very accessible speed dial, lockable and progressive trigger...

How to use the RUPES Bigfoot LHR15 Mark V polisher?

  1. Pad/Polish Selection: Choose a pad/polish combination suitable for a dual-action polisher. For example: The D-A Coarse (Cut Polishing Compound) and D-A Fine (Fine Polishing Compound) kits are ideal.
  2. Mounting: Center your pad on the backing plate.
  3. Polish: Apply your polish in a circular bead around the perimeter of the pad.
  4. Working: Work your polish one section at a time, applying moderate pressure on the pad, and start at speed 3-4 to quickly spread the polish over the work area. Then increase to speed 5 or maximum speed 6 to work your polish slowly in overlapping cross-hatch passes.
  5. Wiping: Wipe off polishing residue once the remaining film becomes translucent. Use a quality dual-sided microfiber towel such as the Black Velvet.
  6. Inspection: Always remember to wipe down again with an isopropyl alcohol-based solution to inspect your work (e.g., Rupes Reveal Lite).

Tip: For best results, consider using a dedicated pad cleaning brush (e.g., RUPES Claw Pad Tool). Regularly replace your foam or microfiber pad as soon as it becomes overly saturated.

Care instructions

Always polish with the machine completely flat on the surface. Be sure to replace your pad as soon as it becomes overly saturated with polish. Blow out the polisher's cooling vents regularly to clear dust from the tool.
