Description
D-A Ultra Fine Foam Pad is the softest polishing pad in the RUPES range. It will be perfect for your ultra-finishing polishing (jewelling) with orbital or rotary-orbital polishers. Specifically designed for this type of machine, it is therefore suited to the brand's BigFoot machines as well as the LK900, and other orbital machines from other brands.
D-A Ultra Fine Foam Pad will allow for careful finishing work on all types of clear coats, and more specifically on very delicate ones requiring the utmost attention.
Also usable for applying waxes/sealants/glazes thanks to the very flexible foam. Perfect for use with RUPES Uno Pure or Uno Protect.
The rounded edges of the new D-A Foam Pad pads from RUPES ensure better durability on orbital machines that have an eccentric and therefore tend to inadvertently rub the edges.

How to use the RUPES D-A Ultra Fine Foam Pad?
- Choose the correct pad size according to your backing plate (e.g., a RUPES 80/100 mm pad is suitable for a 75 mm / 3" backing plate).
- Center your mini pad on your backing plate.
- Apply a few pea-sized drops of polish (e.g., RUPES Uno Pure) or glaze directly onto the pad for the first use. Spread evenly across the foam with your finger. For subsequent passes, 2 pea-sized drops of polish will be enough.
- Spread your polish quickly and at low speed (speed 2-3 on a dual action polisher) over a small working area (approx. 60x60 cm).
- Then work your polish at speed 4 maximum over approximately 2 cross-hatch passes.
- Finish your work when the residual polish haze is very thin.
- Wipe off your polish with a suitable microfiber towel (e.g., COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS Black Velvet) using a panel wipe / inspection spray (e.g., RUPES Reveal Lite). Do not use an inspection spray on all-in-one polishes with built-in protection like Uno Protect so you do not remove the protection.
- Inspect your finish and follow with a protective wax.
Tip: Remember to clean your pad regularly with a dedicated cleaning solution like ZviZZer Pad Cleaner to keep your pad completely free of polish residue and prevent fibers from clogging up. Your workflow and results will be significantly better. Spray Pad Cleaner directly onto the pad, massage the pad between your fingers, then wipe it clean with a microfiber towel or run the pad through a Pad Washer.

Care instructions
- Always clean your pad regularly with Pad Cleaner
- Never leave an object/tool resting on the pad.
- Never clean a pad in a washing machine.
- Always pull gently on the hook-and-loop backing to remove the pad from the backing plate.
