Description

These Fine polishing foam pads for rotary polishing pads are designed for rotary polishers (e.g. RUPES LH19E) in order to get the maximum performance from this pad. Medium correction or light finishing pad for correcting defects commonly found on clear coats such as light swirl marks or minor scratches. Ideally use the RUPES Rotary Fine polish.

The so-called "open-cell" foam structure will prevent heat buildup within the pad structure during polishing thanks to its multiple cells. This will help maintain a consistent level of performance and increase the durability of the pad over time.

The minimal thickness of this pad (25mm) is desired to ensure better contact with the rigid backing plates of rotary polishers. In addition, the rounded edges of the pad prevent any degradation when coming into contact with a slightly protruding detail (logo, grille, etc.)

A pad of excellent build quality, with a particularly durable hook-and-loop fastener and long-lasting foam.

How to use the RUPES Fine polishing foam pads for rotary?

  1. Ensure you select the right pad size based on your backing plate (e.g., an 80mm RUPES pad is suitable for a 75mm/3-inch machine backing plate).
  2. Center your mini pad on your backing plate.
  3. Apply a few pea-sized drops of medium or finishing polish (e.g., RUPES Rotary Fine) onto the pad for initial use. Spread evenly across the foam with your finger. For subsequent passes, 2-3 pea-sized drops of polish will be sufficient.
  4. Spread your polish quickly at low speed (900 RPM on a rotary) over a restricted work area (approx. 60x60cm).
  5. Then work your polish at approx. 1200-1400 RPM (rotary) over approximately 3 cross-hatch passes.
  6. Finish your pass when the residual polish film becomes very thin.
  7. Wipe off your polish with a suitable microfiber towel (e.g., COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS Black Velvet) using a panel wipe/inspection spray (e.g., RUPES Reveal Lite). 
  8. Inspect your finish, then apply a protective wax.

Tip: Remember to regularly clean your pad with a dedicated cleaning solution such as ZviZZer Pad Cleaner to keep your pad completely free of polish residue and prevent fibers from caking. Your work and results will be significantly better. Spray Pad Cleaner directly onto the pad, work it into the foam with your fingers, and then wipe clean with a microfiber towel or run the pad through a Pad Washer.
