This 100% natural lamb wool pad is designed specifically to be used with rotary machines only. The very long fibers of this pad (35mm) will offer the user an extraordinary cutting speed, a gliding sensation on paint, and a reduction of unwanted defects (holograms). Designed to deliver impressive cutting speed, reduced risk of rotary swirls and improved process efficiency while maintaining a smooth, vibration-free user experience.
The construction of this pure lamb wool pad is excellent, with quite exceptional long-term durability. Compatible with all rotary machines (RUPES LH19E, FLEX...), this pad will allow you to correct all the most significant defects on any paint. How to use the RUPES Wool Polishing Pad for Rotary Polishers?
- Carefully match pad size to your backing plate size (e.g., a 180mm RUPES pad fits a 125mm / 5" machine backing plate).
- Center your pad on the backing plate.
- Prime the wool pad fibers thoroughly (e.g., RUPES Rotary Coarse Compound) on first use. Spread evenly across the wool using your finger. For future passes, 3 pea-sized drops of compound will suffice.
- Spread compound quickly at low speed (900 rpm on rotary) over a small working section (approx. 60x60 cm).
- Then work the compound at higher speed (1500-1800 rpm) over approx. 3 cross-hatch passes.
- Finish your pass once the remaining compound haze becomes very thin.
- Buff off compound residue with a suitable microfiber towel (e.g., COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS Black Velvet) using an inspection spray (e.g., RUPES Reveal Lite).
- Inspect your correction and proceed to the finishing phase.
Tip: Remember to clean your pad regularly with a dedicated cleaning solution like ZviZZer Pad Cleaner to keep your pad completely free of polish residue and prevent pad saturation. Your workflow and results will improve significantly. Spray Pad Cleaner directly onto the pad, massage the pad between your fingers, then wipe clean with a microfiber towel or run through a Pad Washer.
