You can find Classic Carpet Cleaner in 3 packaging sizes: 500ml ready to use, so you always have a bottle within reach in your vehicle in case of emergencies. 1L to dilute, which is the recommended format for those who occasionally clean interiors, and finally 5L to dilute as well, for very large cleaning volumes.

Classic Carpet Cleaner is slightly different from Classic All Purpose Cleaner from the same brand, in the sense that the former was developed to work specifically on textile materials in order to remove all kinds of dirt. The release of dirt is improved during extraction.

The great advantage of Classic Carpet Cleaner is that it can be used in several ways: either with a standard sprayer (or pre-pressure sprayer), or with an extractor. It is truly with this last option that it is remarkably effective.

Classic Carpet Cleaner can be used on all types of interior textiles (except alcantara): carpets, floor mats, headliner, fabric seats, etc.


Uses and associated dilutions:

Sprayer:

We will first look at the simplest method requiring little equipment: with a simple sprayer.

Simply measure approximately 90ml of product with 900ml of water in a one-litre sprayer (1:10 dilution). Never overdose Classic Carpet Cleaner and even less so in pure use, as this would make the textile fibres rough and brittle.




We warmly recommend using various accessories during your interior cleaning (brushes, scrub brushes, etc.) to agitate Classic Carpet Cleaner and further increase its effectiveness.

Spray the product directly onto the surface (no risk if it overflows onto bare plastic parts — simply wipe off immediately with a microfibre cloth).

Agitate your surfaces and then wipe thoroughly with several microfibre cloths. Your surfaces should be as dry as possible afterwards.





Classic Carpet is generally very effective after a single pass. If needed, repeat the operation until satisfied.

Worth noting: the classic detergent scent, slightly fresh, not unpleasant but not particularly pleasant either.

For the headliner, we advise against using an extractor to avoid over-saturating the fabric, which could cause it to peel off. Therefore, prefer using the sprayer and microfibre method.



Extractor:

Second possible use, with an extractor. The maximum possible dilution with Classic Carpet Cleaner is 1:80, which makes it a very economical product because, broadly speaking, if you use it exclusively in an extractor at this dilution, you get over 400L of finished solution from the large 5L gallon. Unbeatable value!



In this test, we used 50ml of product with 2L of water, giving a dilution of approximately 1:40.

Pour the diluted solution into your extractor tank, ideally with hot water to better loosen dirt.



On floor mats, this method will save you a considerable amount of time and will allow your surfaces to dry even better.

Spray your Classic Carpet Cleaner solution quite generously without soaking the mats. Thoroughly brush the fibres with a suitable brush (Mothers Carpet & Upholstery Brush is perfect). Then vacuum the fibres and dry one final time with a microfibre cloth.







The result in a single pass is always very impressive — the fibres regain their freshness, colour and structure.
Allow your mats to air dry thoroughly before putting them back in the vehicle, as some moisture will always remain.





You can also appreciate the level of dirt inside the vehicle once you empty the tank of your extractor...



Conclusion:

Clearly, with Classic Carpet Cleaner, you can't go wrong. It is a very straightforward product in the end, but one that will do the job perfectly regardless of how you use it. Effectiveness guaranteed, very high dilution ratio and therefore economical. Very little to criticize about this product, which has been one of the brand's flagship references for several years now (it was formerly called Heavy Duty Carpet Cleaner).

An absolute must-have in your detailer's kit and in your boot for any eventuality!
