Are you tired of using multiple products to clean and treat the various surfaces of your interior? In that case, Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant is made for you!
This recently launched product by the famous American brand CHEMICAL GUYS is suitable for virtually all interior surfaces of your car (hard plastics, foam plastics, vinyls, LCD screens, faux leather, windows, carpets, floor mats, etc.)

Different uses:

In this test, we wanted to try Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant on different surfaces to observe its cleaning action and also check the finish it leaves after application.

The surfaces treated were: hard plastics, foam plastics, LCD GPS screen, floor mats, rubbers, windows.

In this first part, we used Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant for cleaning the foam plastics on the door panels. Grained plastics on the surface, therefore requiring good cleaning ability to tackle ingrained dirt.



Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant is ready to use and can be sprayed either directly onto the surface, or onto a brush or microfiber. In this case, we used a soft brush to get into the grooves of the plastics, as dirt inside them would not come off with a surface wipe with a microfiber.







There is no need to scrub vigorously or with a lot of pressure; the cleaning action of Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant is already very convincing and ingrained dirt comes off immediately.

Worth noting is the very pleasant fresh scent of this product! It makes a welcome change from the usual All Purpose Cleaners (APC) with their rather overpowering basic detergent smell.

Then immediately wipe the surface without waiting using an interior microfiber.



The treated surfaces come out perfectly clean, with no greasy look or feel.



The finish of this product is particularly appreciated, truly true to the original.

Second test, on the soft rubber and plastic elements of the pedals and footrests.
Spray directly onto the surfaces, let it dwell and brush with a soft-bristle brush (a toothbrush or a pad brush can help a lot in these areas with pronounced grooves).





Impeccable result after just one pass again! The protective properties of the product do not result in a greasy or slippery feel to the touch, which would be disastrous for pedal covers in particular. A very strong point!

Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant can also be perfectly suitable for cleaning all fabric surfaces in your interior (excluding alcantara).


Perfect for cleaning floor mats without needing to bring out an injector/extractor, or for those who want a ready-to-use product without having to deal with chemist-level dilutions.



For light surface soiling, you can simply spray Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant onto a microfiber and wipe, or alternatively spray the product evenly onto the surface and scrub with a soft brush. You can also use Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant on faux leather, as it is plastic-coated on the outside.

Remember to dry thoroughly with a microfiber without ever saturating the fibers with product, as this risks moisture wicking and resulting streaks.

After use, the result is impeccable, and the fresh scent is very pleasant.







Another possible use of Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant is cleaning LCD screens, particularly on GPS units.
A very delicate surface, it is rare to find suitable products for it.

For this use, always spray Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant onto an interior microfiber or glass cloth, and carefully spread the product on the screen (not warm).



Finally, the last tested use of Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant: cleaning windows. We were skeptical at first, as window cleaners are often alcohol-based, which Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant is not. Nevertheless, it performed well with no residual streaks, provided you use several glass microfibers and your surfaces are sufficiently cool.

That said, we would still recommend a dedicated glass cleaner.





Conclusion:

Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant is an excellent surprise. Indeed, this product proves to be formidably effective, with a quite pleasant fresh scent (subjective, of course) and leaving a matte finish true to the original. The big plus of this product also lies in the fact that it leaves a thin protective and anti-static film, meaning you clean and protect at the same time.

The ideal product for those who do not want a product to dilute, preferring a ready-to-use solution that can easily fit in a glove compartment, within reach for any quick interior touch-up.

A slight downside is perhaps the price, but that is always the case with ready-to-use products. Moreover, don't forget that you get a product offering two actions (cleaning and protection). Not so expensive after all when compared to buying two separate products.
