The Enigma range from AngelWax sets itself apart from other products of the famous English brand with specific labels (golden lettering) but above all a ceramic-based composition.
In the Enigma range you will find a ceramic-based AIO polish (Enigma AIO), a shampoo (Enigma Shampoo), a hybrid protective wax (Enigma Ceramic Wax) and finally this quick detailer Enigma QED which is the subject of this test.
This range is truly positioned as the brand's flagship line, although AngelWax is above all a reference in the field of natural waxes in particular.
Use:
Enigma QED is preferably used on a prepared or treated base, ideally with ceramic. If you have opted for the Enigma Ceramic Wax, then Enigma QED will be the direct complement, as these products use the same formulation.
Enigma QED can be used on all types of surfaces (paint, raw plastic, windows, rims, etc.). It is in fact a quick detailer loaded with silica, so it is more akin to a quick wax than a simple quick detailer with a gloss enhancer.
The ideal approach is to simply spray 1 or 2 "spritzes" of product directly onto a microfiber and not onto the bodywork. Be sure in any case to apply the product only to a cold body panel. The product will otherwise leave marks that are difficult to remove.
Note that the product's scent is very pleasant. It is reminiscent of the shampoo from the same range (Enigma Shampoo).
Application onto the bodywork is still possible if you spread and wipe Enigma QED quickly. However, slightly more difficulty wiping is noticed when applying directly to the bodywork (greasy effect).
As mentioned previously, you can use Enigma QED on all surfaces including windows, rims and even raw plastics. It will not stain them.
Due to the fact that very little of it is needed, Enigma QED is an extremely economical product. After treating the entire test vehicle, only a few millimeters of product are consumed from the bottle.
The big trap with this product is precisely wanting to apply too much. Wiping will become laborious with quite a bit of streaking (a greasy film that is difficult to wipe off perfectly). "Less is best" as AngelWax always says.
The finish left by Enigma QED is truly very glossy, and the feel is extremely silky. There is no doubt that this product will provide a pronounced hydrophobic effect, thus making your future cleaning easier.
Overall conclusion:
Angel Wax offers a technical ceramic-based range (Enigma range) that will appeal to those who wish to prioritize protection over the finish typically associated with the brand's natural waxes.
Enigma QED will in our view have no interest in being used on an unprepared base (polishing, existing ceramic protection) as it will not be able to reach its potential and wiping may be complicated.
For this is indeed perhaps the only point that can be criticized about this product: the technical wiping. Those who already know ceramic spray-waxes (Reload, C2V3, etc.) will recognize the issue (streaking) and will know how to adapt. Newcomers may struggle a little more.
Nevertheless, the finish and feel left by Enigma QED are truly worth it. The product consumption also makes it an economical product.
