The Chemical Guys Bug & Tar Remover Heavy Duty Car Wash Shampoo is a powerful cleaner specially formulated to remove insects and tar from all surfaces of your vehicle. Insect residue and tar can permanently damage the paint if not removed quickly. This concentrated shampoo breaks down the most stubborn residues to protect your vehicle's surface. It is safe for bumpers, windshields, headlights, plastics, chrome, painted surfaces, and more. Simply add 30 to 90 ml of Bug & Tar Remover to your regular shampoo in your wash bucket to remove dried insects and grime. For spot treatment, dilute Bug & Tar Remover 1:10 in a spray bottle, spray onto the surface, and gently wipe with a quality microfiber cloth. The formula is safe and removes insects without damaging the paint. Bug & Tar Remover reduces the need for vigorous scrubbing, minimizing the risk of scratches and swirl marks during washing.
Due to their corrosive body fluids, crushed insects form a bond with your clear coat that resists a simple wash. How to use the Chemical Guys Bug + Tar Remover Heavy Duty Car Wash Shampoo?
- Rinse the car with water to remove surface dirt.
- Dilute 30 ml of shampoo in a bucket with 5 liters of water.
- Apply the solution using a microfiber wash mitt.
- Wash the car starting from the top and working your way down.
- For heavily soiled areas, allow the foam to dwell for a few minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Dry the car with a clean drying microfiber.
For spot treatment, dilute Bug & Tar Remover at 1:10 (approximately 100 ml in a 1-liter bottle) in a spray bottle.
- Spray onto the targeted surface.
- Allow to dwell for approximately 30 seconds.
- Wipe with a clean, quality microfiber cloth.
- Rinse with water.
Dilutions:
- Bucket wash: Dilute 60 ml in 10 liters of water.
- Foam cannon: Dilute 50 ml of shampoo + 50 ml of foaming agents in a 1 L canister. Top up with warm water.
- Spray bottle: Dilute 100 ml in a 1-liter bottle.
