Description

Some sensitive paintworks can often become a real problem for the application of ceramic treatments requiring fairly intensive wiping, as the risk of re-micro-scratching the surface during wiping is significant.

To counter this problem, Nanolex developed Si 3D BC. This product represents an undercoat (hence its name Base Coat) to be applied directly after degreasing the surface, requiring extremely easy wiping. Also, its surface hardness will help limit the risk of re-micro-scratching the paint during wiping. You can then apply a coat of your preferred organic ceramic treatment such as Si 3D for example, without the risk of micro-scratching the surface.

Si 3D BC can perfectly be applied alone on the paint (without a layer of Si 3D on top) but its hydrophobic effect is very limited and its feel is not silky. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to apply a coat of Si 3D on top, or even a coat of Si Shield.

Strongly recommended product before applying any organic ceramic treatment on delicate or freshly repainted paintwork.

Instructions for use

How to use Nanolex Si3D BC?

  1. Properly prepare the surface (degreasing using EX for instance at a minimum; decontamination followed by polishing is strongly recommended otherwise).
  2. Apply SI 3D BC in 50x50cm sections using criss-cross straight passes.
  3. Dwell time approximately 20 sec. (appearance of micro-bubbles).
  4. Carefully wipe off treated panels.
  5. Wait 1 hour before applying a layer of Si 3D or Si Shield.
