Description
Carpro Ultra Polish Pad is an open-cell foam polishing pad specially designed for heavy polishing work on notoriously hard clear coats. This pad sits between the Orange Polishing pad in the range and the Flash Pad (Wool Pad or Hybrid Cool Pad).
It features an intermediate layer of dense elastomer polymer foam (semi-rigid interface) that absorbs vibrations before they reach the polishing surface, ensuring a degree of stability during work.
The dense foam (90ppi) will allow correction of fairly significant defects on a clear coat, provided it is used with a compound or hard compound (e.g. Ultracut or ClearCut). Carpro Ultra Polish Pad is thus capable of recovering sanding haze from 1500-2000 grit.
The open-cell foam structure allows the pad to ventilate well during use and prevents heat build-up, while absorbing polish dust to avoid creating too many residues.
Also noteworthy is the very high quality of the hook-and-loop backing, ensuring perfect durability even under intensive use.

How to use the CARPRO Ultra Polish Pad?
- Be sure to choose the pad size according to your backing plate (e.g.: A 130mm size will fit a 125mm/5" machine backing plate).
- Center your pad on your backing plate.
- Apply a generous pea-sized drop of polish (e.g.: CARPRO Clearcut) directly onto the pad and spread it evenly with your finger.
- Spread your polish quickly and at low speed over an area not exceeding 60x60cm.
- Then work your polish at high speed (speed 6 on a dual action or gear-driven polisher, and gradually on a rotary polisher up to 1500 RPM) using slow, overlapping straight passes.
- Finish your pass when the residual polish film is very thin, almost transparent.
- Wipe off your polish with a suitable microfiber towel (e.g.: COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS Black Velvet) using a little Eraser (alcohol-based)
- Check your finish and then switch to a finishing pad and finishing polish (e.g.: CARPRO Reflect).
Tip: Remember to regularly clean your pad with a cleaning solution such as ZviZZer Pad Cleaner to keep your foam completely free of polish dust. Your work and results will be much better. Spray Pad Cleaner directly onto the pad, massage the pad between your fingers, and then wipe everything with a microfiber towel or run the pad through a Pad Washer such as the System 4000 Pad Washer from Lake Country.

Care instructions
- Always clean your pad regularly with a pad cleaning solution such as Pad Cleaner or alternatively with a pad brush (e.g.: Claw Pad Tool from RUPES)
- Never leave an object/tool resting on the pad.
- Never wash a pad in a washing machine.
- Always pull gently on the hook-and-loop backing to remove the pad from the backing plate.
