Description

This patented pad from the brand LAKE COUNTRY will allow you to correct the deepest defects on hard clear coats, used with a rotary or rotary-orbital machine.

Its composition of natural and synthetic lamb's wool will resist compression and fiber matting perfectly. The manufacturing quality is exemplary and will contribute to the long-term durability of this pad.

With the knitted fiber weave, you can both correct aggressively (up to P1500 grit) without leaving too much haze and achieve virtually the same finish as a hard foam pad.

Preferably used with a rotary polisher to get the most out of this pad, you can also use it on a rotary-orbital machine for added safety.

Instructions for use

How do you use the Lake Country Pads Hybrid Wool pad?

  1. Choose the pad size according to your backing plate size (e.g., a 75mm/3' Lake Country pad will fit a 75mm/3' machine backing plate).
  2. Center your pad on the backing plate.
  3. Apply a large dollop of polish (e.g., ZviZZer Medium Cut MC3000) directly onto the pad in a circular line.
  4. Spread your polish quickly at low speed over an area no larger than 60x60cm.
  5. Then work the polish at high speed (5-6 on a dual-action polisher or 1800 rpm on a rotary polisher) using slow straight passes.
  6. Finish your work when the residual polish haze is very thin, almost transparent.
  7. Wipe off your polish with a suitable microfiber (e.g., Cocktail Microfibers Black Velvet) using a little Clean Top (alcohol-based).
  8. Check your finish, then apply a protective wax.

Tip: Remember to clean your pad regularly with the ZviZZer Pad Cleaner cleaning solution to keep your wool completely free of polish dust and unclog the fibers. Your work and results will be much better. Spray Pad Cleaner directly onto the pad, massage the pad between your fingers, then wipe everything with a microfiber or use a Pad Washer such as the Lake Country System 4000 Pad Washer.
