Description
The SDO pads for "Standard Duty Orbital" are designed for polishing with orbital machines. Equipped with a patented CCS Technology™ semi-open cell foam, you will no longer have the problem of pads absorbing too much polish into the cells, drastically reducing cutting performance.
The main difference between the SDO "Standard Duty Orbital" and HDO "Heavy Duty Orbital" pads lies in the presence or absence of an additional interface found on the HDO pads and not on the SDO pads. The rest is identical: foam type, cell pattern, hook-and-loop, etc.
The quality of the foam on the SDO pads will offer the user an excellent polishing experience as it will progressively release the amount of polish onto the surface during polishing. No saturation and lasting cutting performance over time.
Also, the CCS cells will help avoid or at least considerably reduce the very frequent pad bouncing by reducing surface tension.
This SDO CCS Blue Heavy Polishing Pad should be used for heavy defect correction work on a car in order to remove the most severe surface defects such as medium to major scratches, heavy swirl marks, restoring polished-waxed finishes, etc. The finish left using a good compound (e.g.: ZviZZer HC4000) will be absolutely impeccable. An excellent pad for correction work for both private individuals and professionals seeking rapid results.
The quality of the foam in this pad will allow you to keep it for a very long time.

How do you use the professional SDO CCS Blue Heavy Polishing Pad ?
- Choose the pad size according to the size of your backing plate (e.g., a 90mm/3.5' Lake Country size will fit a 75mm/3' machine backing plate).
- Center your pad on the backing plate.
- Apply a large pea-sized amount of polish (e.g., ZviZZer Hard Cut HC4000) directly onto the pad in a circular line.
- Spread your polish quickly at low speed over an area no larger than 60x60cm.
- Then work your polish at high speed (5-6 on an orbital or dual-action polisher) using slow straight-line passes.
- Finish your work when the residual polish haze is very thin, almost transparent.
- Wipe off your polish with a suitable microfiber (e.g., Cocktail Microfibers Black Velvet) using a little Clean Top (alcohol-based).
- Inspect your finish, then apply a protective wax.
Tip: Remember to clean your pad regularly with ZviZZer Pad Cleaner, to keep your foam completely free of polish dust. Your work and results will be much better. Spray Pad Cleaner directly onto the pad, massage the pad between your fingers, then wipe everything with a microfiber or place the pad in a Pad Washer such as the Lake Country System 4000 Pad Washer.
