The Gtechniq EXO v5 Hybrid Coating is an advanced ceramic coating designed to provide superior protection to your vehicle's surface. Thanks to its hybrid technology, it creates a hydrophobic barrier that effectively repels water, dirt, and contaminants, while enhancing the gloss and brilliance of the paintwork.

This coating stands out for its ability to form a hard film that makes water spot removal easier and provides increased resistance to car wash chemicals. It also helps prevent micro-scratches, ensuring a flawless finish over the long term. The EXO v5 produces a glossy finish while providing lasting protection against the elements.​

Compared to its predecessors, the EXO v5 offers improved durability, with increased resistance to road salt and car wash chemicals. Its application has been simplified thanks to a slower drying time, allowing a perfect finish to be achieved with a single coat. This coating can be applied alone or as a top coat over the Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer or the Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light (CSL), particularly for dark or mark-prone paintwork.​

How to use Gtechniq EXO v5 Hybrid Coating?

  1. Preparation: Ensure the vehicle is out of direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature above 5°C, and completely dry.​
  2. Surface cleaning: Degrease the bodywork using Gtechniq Panel Wipe and a clean microfiber towel.​
  3. Application: Shake the bottle well and wear gloves. Saturate the supplied applicator pad with an ample amount of product.​
  4. Surface application: Apply the product in a cross-hatch pattern over an area of approximately 60 cm x 60 cm.​
  5. Dwell time: Allow the product to dwell for 1 to 2 minutes.​
  6. Buffing off: Use a clean microfiber towel to wipe off the treated surface, then use a second towel to remove any remaining residue, leaving a slick finish.​
  7. Curing: Allow the coating to cure for at least 12 hours without exposure to moisture.​

Tip: For optimal durability, avoid washing the vehicle for at least one week after application.​

Important: Before applying a ceramic coating, it is recommended to decontaminate the bodywork with a clay bar and polish the paintwork to eliminate imperfections.

Care instructions

After application, avoid washing the vehicle for at least seven days to allow the coating to fully cure. Thereafter, use pH-neutral shampoos and touchless wash techniques to maintain the integrity of the coating.​

  • Storage: Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.​
  • Shelf life: Use the product within 3 months of opening, and within 12 months if unopened.​
  • Handling: Wear gloves during application and avoid any contact with skin and eyes.​
