Description

Thermal insulating films for glazing are designed to improve the ability of glass to reject solar energy in the form of infrared, ultraviolet and visible light. UVX features the very latest ceramic nanotechnology providing powerful IR thermal insulation, blocking up to 99% of UV rays and reducing glare. In addition to this, UVX films are available in 5 levels of visible light transmission (5%, 20%, 35%, 70%), allowing you to refine the aesthetics of your car as well as your sense of privacy inside.

The films are designed using a multi-layer sputtering technology, which allows nano-ceramic particles to be uniformly deposited onto a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) base, in order to achieve maximum thermal insulation through heat absorption. This simply means that the interior of the car (and you yourself!) will cool down faster and stay cool much longer, while limiting air conditioning energy consumption. Unlike metallic films, the nano-ceramic structure does not interfere with radio signals. UVX is not a mechanical protection film, but it is still equipped with an anti-scratch layer that will extend its lifespan.

The UVX tinted films are available in 5 VLT levels (5%, 20%, 35%, 70%), in rolls of 1520 mm x 30 m and is fully compatible with all Immortal installation accessories.

Understanding the regulations regarding the tinting of front vehicle windows

Since January 1, 2017, decree 2016-448 has been in force and requires a Visible Light Transmission (VLT) of 70% on the front windows of vehicles. This means you can still tint the front windows of your vehicle, provided that the total VLT (including the original glass and the tinted film) is equal to or greater than 70%.

Anyone who violates this law faces a penalty, including the removal of 3 points from their driving license as well as a fine of €135.

It is important to note that the other windows of the vehicle are not subject to this regulation and can be tinted to a customer's preference. However, it is prohibited to apply a tinted film to the windshield.
