RUPES LHR21 Mark V for optimal performance
RUPES never stops improving its famous Bigfoot to always deliver an exceptional user experience. This is how the latest version, the Bigfoot LHR21 Mark V, was born. The Bigfoot system, developed many years ago, significantly reduces polishing time while ensuring a flawless, hologram-free finish.
The improvements over the Mark III are numerous. The foundation was already solid with the Mark III, but RUPES completely revised and refined it to noticeably enhance the machine's performance.
The backing plate is thinner, providing better stability, and is equipped with a peripheral rubber collar to prevent any disastrous collision with a body panel.
One of the major new features concerns the interior of the machine: a new gear system significantly reduces vibrations and prevents heat buildup. Efficiency is now improved. Even extended polishing sessions will be no challenge for this superb machine, the Bigfoot LHR21 Mark V.
In addition, this system reduces machine noise for greater user comfort.
Another new feature is the now one-piece cover, no longer made of several parts. This prevents unwanted flexing while ensuring perfect control of the machine (improved stability).
The machine's ventilation has also been reworked internally to prevent heat buildup that could affect its durability. The detailer can polish for long hours without the unpleasant sensation of an overheating machine.
For the rest, there's no changing an excellent base recipe. A 21mm orbit perfect for large surfaces (hood, roof, vans...) with an excellent correction/finishing ratio. Balanced profile, excellent grip, very accessible speed dial, lockable and progressive trigger...

How to use the RUPES Bigfoot LHR21 Mark V polisher?
- Pad/compound choice: Choose a pad and compound combination suited for a dual-action orbital machine. For example: The D-A Coarse (Cut Polishing Compound) and D-A Fine (Fine Polishing Compound) kits are perfect choices.
- Placement: Center your pad on your backing plate.
- Compound: Spread your compound in an outer circle around the pad
- Working: Work your polish on one section at a time, applying moderate pressure to the pad, and start at speed 3-4 to quickly spread the polish over the work area. Then increase to speed 5 or maximum speed 6 to work your polish slowly in overlapping cross-hatch passes.
- Wipe-off: Wipe off polish residue once the residual film becomes translucent. Use a quality dual-pile microfiber towel to do so, such as the Black Velvet.
- Inspection: Always remember to wipe down again with an isopropyl alcohol-based solution to inspect your work (e.g., Rupes Reveal Lite)
Tip: For best results, consider using a dedicated pad cleaning brush (e.g., the RUPES Claw pad tool). Replace your microfiber or foam pad regularly as soon as it becomes overly saturated.

Care instructions
Always polish with the polisher kept flat against the surface. Remember to change your pad as soon as it becomes saturated with polish. Blow out the polisher's ventilation vents to remove dust regularly.
