Description

Colourlock GLD Solvent is a specialized leather solvent designed to remove the most stubborn discoloration and color transfer when a conventional leather cleaner is not enough.

It effectively tackles marks left by jeans, belts, bags and pen marks, commonly found on the seating surfaces and bolsters of light-colored seats. Its powerful formula can also remove the top coat and pigments when preparing leather for recoloring.

Intended for experienced users, GLD Solvent requires a careful approach: apply it with a microfiber cloth using light pressure, then neutralize it with a leather cleaner. If the color layer lifts, a touch-up with Leather Fresh can restore an even appearance.

How do you use Colourlock GLD Solvent?


1. Try a leather cleaner first: Use GLD Solvent only if standard cleaning has not been sufficient.
2. Test on a hidden area: Check that the leather’s appearance and feel do not change.
3. Apply to a microfiber cloth: Put a small amount of GLD Solvent on the cloth, never directly on the leather.
4. Clean gently: Rub the stain with light pressure, monitoring the condition of the color.
5. Neutralize the reaction: Immediately treat the area with a leather cleaner to stop the solvent’s action.
6. Recolor if necessary: If the color layer has lifted, apply a suitable Leather Fresh dye.
Tip: Work in short, gradual passes rather than rubbing the same area for a long time.
Tip: Store the bottle away from freezing temperatures and heat.
