Instructions for use

How to use the Rupes 75 mm Backing Pad for random orbital sanders?

  1. Check the backing pad compatibility with your Rupes RA75A or RA75 random orbital sander, ensuring the 5/16" male thread matches your tool.
  2. Attach the backing pad to the sander by screwing the male thread firmly into the tool's spindle until securely tightened.
  3. Place a compatible sanding disc onto the backing pad, aligning the holes in the disc with those on the pad for optimal dust extraction.
  4. Press the disc lightly against the velcro backing pad so it adheres perfectly and does not move during use.
  5. Connect the vacuum dust extraction system to the sander to enable dust extraction through the pad's 3 center holes.
  6. Start the sander and perform your sanding work applying moderate pressure to avoid damaging the surface or the backing pad.

Caution: Do not apply excessive pressure on the backing pad while sanding, especially over uneven surfaces, to preserve its durability and prevent premature wear.

Pro tip: To extend the life of your velcro backing pad, clean it regularly with a soft brush to remove dust and adhesive residue.
