Description

Micro Cut Pad Hard is a heavy correction pad for correcting significant defects on your paint while delivering an excellent finish thanks to its exemplary foam quality.

The manufacturing quality of Koch Chemie on this pad is exemplary. Its low overall height (25mm) and rounded edges allow very good machine control, limiting torsion and stress zones on curved paint surfaces (e.g. Porsche 911 rear fenders). The peripheral groove allows for a slight angle on curved surfaces.

The cellular foam maintains a certain level of abrasiveness while allowing great heat dissipation during use.

The special density of MicroCutPad Hard provides lasting compression hardness during polishing. Specifically designed for hard paints of the "High-Solid" type.


Preferably used with compounds H9.02 and/or F6.01 with either an orbital or rotary polisher.

How do you use the KCx Micro cut pad Hard pad?

  1. Protect sensitive surfaces with APP 110 masking tape.
  2. Choose the polish suited to the desired correction.
  3. Center the pad properly on your backing plate and make sure that the backing plate diameter is smaller than that of the pad.
  4. Apply a few drops of polish to the pad.
  5. Work in small sections with the polisher set to an appropriate speed.
  6. Wipe away residue with a microfiber (e.g., Black Velvet by Cocktail Microfibers).
  7. Thoroughly clean the pad with a dedicated brush (e.g., Rupes Claw Pad Tool or Pad brush).

Tip: It is important to clean your pads between each step with a brush, compressed air, or a Pad Washer to keep the pad performing throughout your correction process.

Care instructions

Maintain your pads after each use and during use:

  • During use: Brush the pad and remove dust to clear the pad cells.
  • Cleaning after use: Use Zvizzer Pad Cleaner, for example, or soak the pad in a basin of lukewarm water with a little Pad Cleaner, then brush and rinse it. Use a Pad Washer (Lake Country) for effective cleaning.
