Woodwork is very commonly found in the marine sector, both on the exterior and interior. Marine conditions mean that this woodwork is often subjected to harsh treatment. It is therefore important to protect it so that it lasts as long as possible.

Wood Protect - 620 was developed for this purpose by Fictech. A true marine impregnator, it protects your wood from UV rays and salt while enhancing the natural beauty of the material.

The natural wood extracts in Wood Protect - 620 deeply nourish the fibres and act as a colour enhancer. The wood will look as good as new!

Highly penetrating vegetable oils create a durable hydrophobic barrier resistant to marine conditions, while still allowing the material to breathe.

Anti-UV protective additives will stop the harmful effects of UV rays to keep your woodwork looking brand new.

It is strongly recommended to clean your woodwork with Wood Cleaner - 303 before using Wood Protect - 620, otherwise the latter will not be able to perfectly penetrate the fibre.

How to use Fictech Wood Protect - 620?

First and foremost, ensure your woodwork is thoroughly cleaned using Wood Cleaner - 303.

  1. Apply Wood Protect - 620 in a thin, even coat using a wide flat brush for large flat areas, a trim brush for corners, edges, and detailed sections, or a roller to speed up work on broad surfaces.
  2. Make sure to thoroughly impregnate the wood without scrubbing or overloading the surface.
  3. Finishing: After a few minutes of penetration, apply a second light coat if necessary to even out protection and enhance the tone. This step is optional, but improves visual depth on more porous woods.
  4. Drying time: The product is touch-dry in approximately 30 minutes. However, to guarantee optimal protection against moisture, water splash, and UV rays, wait 12 hours before returning the surface to service.
  5. Recommended Maintenance: To maintain the performance of Wood Protect - 620, reapply every 2 to 3 years, depending on the wood's exposure to weather, salt air, and abrasion. Regular maintenance extends the substrate's lifespan while preserving its natural, warm, satin appearance.
