There are many microfibre and synthetic surface cleaners on the market. VALET PRO offers Microfiber Reviver at a quantity/price ratio that is almost unbeatable. The English brand specialising in valeting products is known for the effectiveness of its cleaning products (pre-wash foam, shampoos, etc.) What about this new product? We test it for you.

Use:

Microfiber Reviver was developed for machine washing all your microfibres and synthetic polyamide and polyester textiles. The base is biodegradable and contains no softener to avoid making the fibres rough over time.

The product is sold in a 500ml format at €10.95 or in 5L at the very attractive price of €34.95.



Microfiber Reviver is a ready-to-use, highly concentrated product — very little is needed to wash a full load of microfibres. Furthermore, we will see later in the article that its use can also be repurposed for cleaning foam pads. Very practical!



For a wash load of approximately 4kg of microfibres, simply measure out approximately 40ml (1oz) of product into your machine's detergent drawer.
For larger loads, double the dose.

Two things to note upon opening the product. The scent of Microfiber Reviver is very pleasant (green apple). The other point is that the gallon format is not very practical for accurately pouring a small amount of product into a measuring cup. You will tend to waste quite a lot of product. It would have been wise to include a cap with a pour spout as found in stores, or alternatively to use a Pump Dispenser.

On particularly dirty microfibres or those with heavy localised soiling, such as the example below, do not hesitate to lightly soak the areas with Microfiber Reviver directly. Then brush with a soft-bristle brush. You will immediately see the very effective cleaning action of the product.









Then place all your microfibres in the drum and set the programme to a temperature not exceeding 40°C, no tumble drying above all, and with a spin cycle that is not too aggressive (Max 800rpm).





Another possible use of Microfiber Reviver: as a cleaner for foam and microfibre pads.

Foam pads are very delicate and MUST NOT be machine washed. Therefore, you can repurpose Microfiber Reviver from its primary use to clean them by hand with water.

It will therefore be possible to measure out approximately 50ml of Microfiber Reviver into a bowl of warm water or directly into your sink and let your pads soak for a few minutes before brushing them. But that is not all — it will also be possible to measure Microfiber Reviver into a spray bottle to soak your pads before brushing them.







Leave to soak for approximately 10 minutes before brushing with a pad brush, for example. The RUPES Claw Pad Tool is perfect for this.







The effectiveness of Microfiber Reviver is very convincing. Dried polish dust comes off without too much effort. A good rinse afterwards and your pad comes out like new.
If you need to soak your pad more with product, use Microfiber Reviver in a spray bottle (50ml in a 600ml bottle, for example) and spray generously. This will degrease your most marked pads even further.



Once your wash cycle is finished, hang your microfibres directly on a drying rack. Never tumble dry them! You would make the fibres dry and brittle.



The cleaning of our test microfibre gave good overall results considering its starting condition. The heavy ingrained marks are gone. However, the microfibre does not come out perfectly clean.
But this is likely due to general fibre ingrain that cannot be removed in any case.



A quick Before/After to better appreciate the overall effectiveness. Also worth noting that Microfiber Reviver leaves no particular odour on your microfibres after washing. The green apple scent of the product disappears.



Conclusion:

The effectiveness of Microfiber Reviver is convincing. Our test microfibre, pre-soaked and cleaned in a 7kg load washing cycle, came out genuinely cleaner. Moreover, we did not find that the fibres came out rougher.
The great advantage of Microfiber Reviver is without doubt its versatility. You can use it as a machine detergent but also as a cleaner for foam pads. The effectiveness is always convincing.
Also, the efficiency/quantity/price ratio defies all competition. €34.95 for 5L with a consumption of 80ml per 7kg wash load allows you to carry out more than 60 washes. You are well stocked!
It is therefore an essential product for any professional or amateur detailer with a lot of equipment, in order to preserve their accessories for as long as possible.
