A small novelty in the world of microfiber pads. UroFiber has the advantage of featuring two types of fibers at once — on one hand to effectively correct defects in your clearcoat, and on the other to allow a quality finish with one and the same pad.
Available in 4 different sizes: 6', 5', 3', 2' and 1' to suit all machines available on the market, including the smallest ones (Nano).
Instructions for use:
The first thing to notice about this pad is that it is 25% thinner in fiber than most competing microfiber pads, and also features two different fiber colors, meaning you get both significant cutting power and an exemplary finish.
Of course, you will need to dedicate a separate pad for each type of polish — one for the compound (heavy polish) and another for the finishing polish.
Although you need to use two pads to correct and fine-polish, this saves you from investing in two different pads (cutting and finishing) which are often far more expensive from competing brands.
To correct heavy defects, a compound (very aggressive polish) ideally designed specifically for this type of pad (DA Microfiber Correction Compound from MEGUIAR'S) should be used.
Thoroughly saturate the UroFiber pad fibers with polish so that no fiber remains dry, as working dry would create additional defects on your clearcoat.
Then work on an area of 60cm x 60cm maximum at speed 4–5 with moderate pressure. This type of pad does not really appreciate high speeds or too much pressure.
Continue working your polish until a nearly transparent film appears.
After wiping with a dedicated microfiber cloth (ideally GYEON Polish Wipe), the correction and finish obtained can be observed. The cut is good, in the sense that few defects remain, but the finish can be improved as a milky haze is created when using a microfiber pad with a compound.
One important thing to observe is to clean your pad after each pass to "lift" the fibers and always maintain cutting power.
To achieve a quality finish, a second UroFiber pad with a finishing polish (Menzerna 3500 in the test) should therefore be used.
Proceed in the same way as before, without exceeding speed 4 or pushing the polish to "breakdown" (difficult with a finishing polish on an orbital).
The area previously treated with the compound was split in two for the test to show the difference in gloss and depth achieved with the finishing polish (left side with finish / right side without finish).
Finally, one last test of the UroFiber used as a single pad with a simple intensive polish (medium cut) such as the PF2500 from MENZERNA.
In the Before/After shown below, the effectiveness of the correction is clearly visible while achieving an almost perfect finish. Ultimately, as expected, you lose a little in correction compared to a compound, but the finish left behind is very good, allowing you to correct and finish at the same time in a single pass.

Our opinion:
The Urofiber pad from BUFF AND SHINE lives up to its promises by offering a fairly versatile approach. Anyone wanting to work quickly and correct as many defects as possible while leaving an acceptable finish can find in the UroFiber an accessory of choice, paired with a simple intensive polish.
It will also provide maximum cut when correcting very heavy defects if used with a compound designed for that purpose. After that, a finishing pass with a second UroFiber pad and a finishing polish will be necessary to bring out the maximum gloss from the clearcoat.
The price per pad is very competitive and it is available in several sizes to be used with all sizes of orbital polishers available on the market, including the smallest ones (Nano).
A very good choice, which we recommend primarily for heavy correction rather than finishing — that is not its main purpose. It is not strictly speaking a finishing pad.
