TURTLE WAX, the American giant in automotive aesthetic care, offers with Dash&Glass a very simple product that makes it possible to clean virtually all interior surfaces of your car.
Gone are the days of using a different product for each surface. With Dash&Glass you can clean hard plastics, foam-backed plastics, vinyls, lacquered panels, GPS LCD screens, windows and more.
The simplicity approach for sure, but does this product deliver on its promises? We test it for you.
Usage:
Dash&Glass is a ready-to-use product. Once again, we play the simplicity card.
It is an interior Quick Detailer. Its role is to lightly clean surfaces and remove dust, including on delicate gloss black parts.
We recommend using Dash&Glass with an Ultra Fine microfiber cloth (yellow or blue) for all your surfaces except windows, where we will see that a glass microfiber is better suited.
If your interior has quite a lot of dust like the vehicle used in the test, Dash&Glass will be truly perfect.
Spray Dash&Glass directly onto an Ultra Fine microfiber cloth and not onto the surface. The cleaning action of the product is very acceptable, though not spectacular on tight areas (plastic grain). The partially alcohol-based formula allows for a liquid product and above all leaves no streaks.
The finish is superb, with no greasy residue, leaving a finish truly true to the original.
It is also worth noting that the product has a genuinely very pleasant fresh scent that is not overpowering at all. Particularly interesting especially in the height of summer with the intense heat inside the cabin.
Wiping off is also very easy. Truly no stray product marks as you can sometimes get with certain other products.
Cleaning your interior truly becomes child's play. One or two microfiber cloths, a bottle of Dash&Glass and you treat your entire interior. Almost everything, because there are still certain surfaces on which you cannot use it (it is not recommended): leather and alcantara in particular.
The before/after cleaning differences are striking and give the interior a genuine fresh look. We even tried it as a light fabric seat cleaner and the product works.
Dash&Glass is a rather unique product as it also allows you to clean glass surfaces without streaks. Interior Quick Detailers are often not suitable for this use (residual streaks).
Here, the test was done on the touchscreen and the result is quite convincing. Little film to wipe off, or easy to wipe off in the worst case. However, do make sure to use a suitable microfiber. Start with a clean Ultra Fine and finish with a Microfiber Glass cloth. You will get a better result this way.
We also wanted to test Dash&Glass for cleaning the interior and exterior windows of the vehicle in good sunlight conditions. Not a single streak to report.
Conclusion:
Dash&Glass is truly an excellent surprise. Why a surprise? Simply because it is a product from Turtle Wax's consumer range. We are not even dealing with a highly technical product here.
And yet the results speak for themselves. Ease and versatility of use. A very classy finish. There is globally nothing to fault with this product. We would have liked a slight protection added at the very least, but if that were to come at the expense of the finish, wipe-off or anything else, it would not be worth it.
In terms of pricing, Dash&Glass is sold at €13.95. In line with competing products globally at equivalent quantities.
In the end, Dash&Glass will be an indispensable product in your detailer kit in the boot.
