Description: Meguiar's launches a brand new and quite innovative product in terms of its use. It is in fact a shampoo usable at a pressure wash facility without a bucket, to be applied directly onto the mitt and onto a wet vehicle.
Car Wash Plus is extremely concentrated which ultimately allows you to use very little of it and treat your entire vehicle without having to reload your mitt frequently.




Car Wash Plus was specifically developed for people who cannot wash their vehicle at home using the two-bucket technique, and who simply need to rinse at a pressure wash station.

A hyper-concentrated and extremely lubricated formula in order to avoid any risk (or at least minimize the risk as much as possible) of micro-scratching your car.

Usage: Your vehicle AND your wash mitt must absolutely be wet. Therefore, preferably use a long-pile microfibre type mitt such as the GYEON Smoothie which is perfect for this use. Wet it with the pressure washer at the same time as the vehicle.



Then pour Car Wash Plus directly onto the wet mitt creating a "serpentine" pattern so as to have a generous application on it.



Then simply wash your vehicle as with the classic two-bucket technique (straight linear movements without pressure) panel by panel.



You will notice that Car Wash Plus is very effective at removing various surface contaminants (dried insects, bird droppings). These really come off effortlessly (at least on our test vehicle).

Also, in return, this is a strong shampoo, therefore "non wax-safe". To be avoided on a waxed vehicle as it risks stripping the protection.

For example, the test vehicle had a layer of GYEON Wet Coat freshly applied (1 week) whose beading/sheeting during the pre-test rinse clearly indicated it was still present. However, after using Car Wash Plus, no protection remained whatsoever...



The drawback you encounter fairly quickly with this technique is the very early clogging of the wash mitt. It becomes completely saturated with product and foams massively.
However, as you are supposed to use this product at a car wash station, you theoretically have no way to rinse your mitt, and this can quickly become problematic.



It is essential to then rinse your vehicle fairly quickly so as not to let Car Wash Plus dry on the surfaces (especially in hot weather).





Ultimately, after cleaning the car in its entirety, it is undeniable that you save time but as a result, we remain somewhat skeptical as to whether the process is truly "risk-free" for the paintwork, especially if the car is relatively dirty.
We therefore recommend using this process on a lightly soiled vehicle or one already well pre-rinsed with the pressure washer and possibly a pass of pre-wash foam.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that Car Wash Plus leaves an extremely shiny finish on surfaces, which is somewhat reminiscent of the shampoo from the same brand "Ultimate Shampoo". The surfaces come out looking as if they have been waxed.





General conclusion:

Car Wash Plus is a product that calls for techniques at the opposite end of those prescribed by Detailing (pre-wash, two-bucket wash technique, etc.). It is quite unsettling to use this product for the first time as it goes against our habits.

That said, Car Wash Plus represents a perfect solution for those who simply wish to wash their car effectively at a car wash without necessarily worrying about potentially creating micro-scratches on the paintwork, because in our view, Car Wash Plus cannot be perfectly "safe" for the bodywork if it is very (too) dirty.

The finish left by the product is excellent and its cleaning power is very convincing.

Ultimately, a very economical product as very little product is consumed.
Recommended for people concerned by this type of application.
