GYEON is one of the only brands, if not the only one, to offer a complete range of cleaning products and specific treatments for tires. Q2M Tire Cleaner, for example, a specific cleaner for rubber materials, has no equivalent among competitors. GYEON also offers 2 dressings for your tires: the first ceramic-based Q2 Tire and the second maintenance product Q2M Tire Express.

In this article, we will outline the advantages of using each product. This will help you see more clearly within the range and guide your choices according to your needs.


Presentation of Q2M Tire Cleaner:

The first step, of course, is to properly clean your tire. As with every detailing process, you work on a clean surface. This is where Q2M Tire Cleaner comes into action.



It is a ready-to-use degreaser that is highly effective and respectful of elastomeric materials such as rubber. It will therefore be dedicated primarily to cleaning your tires, but also soft seals and engine hoses, for example.

Since it is only available ready-to-use, it is recommended to purchase it in a 1L packaging rather than 500ml, especially given the price difference.

Simply spray Q2M Tire Cleaner on your tire and then use a brush with fairly stiff bristles. This will allow you to thoroughly remove all ingrained dirt from this flexible material.



Q2M Tire Cleaner is a bit sharp on the nose when sprayed. You can clearly recognize the detergent bases of all degreasers.
Also notable is Q2M's ability to dissolve dirt fairly quickly even without agitation. The tire surface turns brown very quickly.

Ideally, spray a little Q2M Tire Cleaner onto a stiff-bristle brush (the Alchimy7 model for fabrics and carpets is perfect). Then scrub well.

Q2M Tire Cleaner demonstrates excellent degreasing capability. It allows tires to regain their original matte appearance. A single pass is generally sufficient as well.
You can rinse everything off with a jet of water right after, or dry it all with a microfiber cloth directly.







The question one is entitled to ask is: Is Q2M Tire Cleaner really worth it compared to a pure degreaser that you would dilute yourself?
Very honestly, Q2M Tire Cleaner is truly very effective and perfectly dosed from the start to respect the porous materials that are rubbers. Very often, you are forced to concentrate certain pure degreasers to achieve the same level of effectiveness.

Admittedly, the unit cost is higher than a pure concentrate to dilute, but you have here a quick, immediately available, and highly effective solution.

An excellent product that perfectly fulfills its role before then applying your favorite dressing.

And so we come to the choice of dressing for the protection part: Q2 Tire or Q2M Tire Express?




Presentation of Q2 Tire:

You certainly know that at GYEON, there are two product classification codes: Q2 and Q2M. The first range (Q2) covers protection products based on ceramics in particular, while the second category (Q2M) covers maintenance products for those protections.

As for Q2 Tire, it is actually a genuine protection product with a ceramic base. This is why its full name is Q2 Tire and not Q2M Tire.

Q2 Tire is therefore a ceramic-based tire dressing. There are few of them on the market, but the Korean brand GYEON specializes in this area, so it is only natural that they offer a ceramic-based product for tires.



Q2 Tire will therefore be used on your tires for the protection aspect. Its ceramic composition will allow for very long durability and resistance to pre-wash foams and wheel cleaners.

Your tires must be perfectly cleaned beforehand (see the Q2M Tire Cleaner test presented above).

The texture of Q2 Tire is quite oily. It comes with a very practical pump sprayer that allows you to dispense small amounts onto a foam applicator (the Tire Sponge will be perfect).

Pour 2 or 3 drops onto your applicator. It is somewhat unsettling because the texture is oily yet sufficiently liquid at the same time. The product penetrates the foam quickly.





The trick with Q2 Tire is to spread the product well across the surface to avoid excess layers. The product spreads moderately, but this issue depends greatly on the tire brand in reality.
Q2 Tire may spread very well on the surface of one brand and much less well on another. It is a case-by-case basis.

But in any case, Q2 Tire will be a little more technical to apply than another more conventional tire dressing based on water or silicone.

Once applied to the entire sidewall of the tire, make sure not to leave any excess layer. In the photo below, the phenomenon is immediately visible.



Ideally, the product should be left to work for about 10-15 minutes before wiping. The wiping itself is very easy and leaves a properly satin finish. The finish left will also vary greatly depending on the tire brand.



Once applied and fully absorbed, the Q2 Tire treatment will restore the black appearance of the tire while also providing a protective barrier that prevents contaminants from penetrating the rubber again, along with UV protection (thus avoiding yellowing and hardening of the rubber).

Ideally, you should also be able to cure the treatment under an IR lamp for a few minutes to properly lock the layer and allow for greater durability (optional).



In conclusion, Q2 Tire will be the most protective dressing in the GYEON range and even one of the most protective currently on the market.
Where some dressings will not last more than a hundred kilometers, Q2 Tire, thanks in particular to its ceramic composition, will offer several weeks of durability.

Finally, Q2 Tire will not be the easiest to apply, once again due to its very specific composition.

For regular maintenance after washes, it will always be possible to maintain the Q2 Tire layer with Q2M Tire Express, which we will detail just below.



Presentation of Q2M Tire Express:



The composition of Q2M Tire Express is completely different from that of Q2 Tire tested previously.
Here, we are dealing with a more classic water-based formula. The very texture of the product is notably different. With Q2 Tire the product is viscous; with Q2M Tire Express, it is more of a cream.

GYEON's positioning of Q2M Tire Express is clear. It can be a tire dressing in its own right, but with very limited durability (a few hundred kilometers at most). It should be seen more as a maintenance product for a Q2 Tire layer or a dressing between two washes.

On the other hand, ease and versatility of application are the major strengths of this product.

With Q2M Tire Express, you will have the option to apply it on a wet surface, for example, directly after your wash and degreasing.

Apply one or two drops of product onto a new foam applicator. Q2M Tire Express spreads much better than its counterpart Q2 Tire (same tire brand tested). Work the product into the foam to distribute it evenly.



The finish left by Q2M Tire Express is just as good as that of Q2 Tire, if not even better, as it is more natural. It leaves a deep, rich black. The application is also more uniform.







Once properly wiped off with a microfiber cloth, it should be noted that neither of the two products tested leaves a greasy feel to the touch.



In conclusion, Q2M Tire Express will present itself as an interesting solution for any enthusiast seeking a very natural finish and easy-to-use products. Durability will not be its strong point, but for anyone who enjoys treating their car regularly, this will certainly not be a problem.

General conclusion:

The 3 products presented are excellent references. As is often the case with GYEON, you might say... True, but a simple product like Q2M Tire Cleaner still manages to make a difference compared to a basic degreaser.

The two tire dressings presented will delight all detailer profiles. Those who want to go for durability and all-round protection will choose Q2 Tire without hesitation. Those who prefer ease of application, more versatility (possible use on a wet base) and a softer finish will choose Q2M Tire Express.

There will inevitably be a solution to your needs with the GYEON range.
