Description: This range needs no introduction for detailing enthusiasts and fans of technical products with exceptional results. In this review, we tested the 3 products needed to properly wash your car while protecting or recharging the protection initially applied to your vehicle. Drying becomes a mere formality with the Q2M Silk Dryer.
Instructions for use:
- 20ml of shampoo in a bucket of 10L of warm water (classic method).
- Add a few drops of Q2M BATHE+ to the mitt after washing and rinsing (but not drying) the car. Run the mitt over the entire car before rinsing again. This method helps to re-boost the existing ceramic protection.
Usage:
Use a good wash mitt (ideally two — one for the upper panels and one for the lower panels), and wash the vehicle from top to bottom, panel by panel, using the two-bucket method (see tutorial). Work in straight-line movements.
The shampoo, at a dilution of 20ml/10L, does not produce excessive foam (like all shampoos for maintaining ceramic protection), and has no particular odor.
After washing the entire bodywork and rinsing it, a hydrophobic effect appears, indicating added protection.
The finish of this shampoo is relatively shiny and quite slick (water barely pools on the bodywork).
You can proceed directly to drying the car, or use the second directly complementary product, the Q2M Wet Coat, to durably boost the initially applied ceramic protection, or simply to protect your car for a few weeks.
Usage:
Simply spray Q2M Wet Coat (ready-to-use product) over the entire still-wet car, then rinse using a pressure washer. Make sure to insist on the various parts so the product fully saturates and rinses off. All you have to do then is dry the car!
The hydrophobic effect linked to the added protection is immediate. The durability of the protection, if the product is applied alone, is estimated at several months.
Last step: drying the car to avoid any risk of hard water leaving marks (streaking). To do this, we tested the Q2M Silk Dryer in the Mini version 50x55cm.
The Mini version is obviously too small to dry an average-sized car entirely. For that, you will need to opt for the large format version (90x70) and finish the detailing with the mini.
Usage:
Use the thick side and let the microfiber glide without applying pressure. Its structure allows very effective drying in a single pass. A second pass helps finish the drying thoroughly.
You can wring out the microfiber once it becomes too saturated with water and continue drying.
A few photos of the final result after the complete washing process. The Q2M Wet Coat truly delivers a superb finish, very bright and deep at the same time. There is hardly any need to add a Ceramic Quick Wax like the Q2M Cure, unless it is to add even more protection.

Our opinion: The Q2M Bathe+ is an excellent shampoo and stands as a reference among maintenance shampoos for ceramic coatings. It truly boosts your coating on its own, leaving a very good finish. Its effectiveness can be further improved by using the direct application method on the wash mitt.
