Test of the Fictech Foam Bubble pre-wash solution

Description:
Foam Bubble is primarily a pre-wash solution, designed to soften and remove the road grime film and various contaminants present on the surface of an untreated vehicle. Its alkaline base (pH>7) provides significant contact degreasing action. Dirt will therefore be much more easily removable during the manual wash phase.
Furthermore, Foam Bubble can also be used with the two-bucket technique for a hard wash to prepare the working base before renovation.
The high foaming power of Foam Bubble makes it a reference for pre-washes, but it should not be used for maintaining a protection, as it risks removing it.
Usage:
When using as a pre-wash solution with a foam cannon (foam lance, foam gun), dose approximately 60 to 100ml of product in your 1L reservoir and top up with warm water ideally.
Note that once diluted, Foam Bubble becomes a biodegradable product.
In this test, I chose to dilute 80ml of Foam Bubble in a 1L foam lance, topping it up with warm water.
Note that Foam Bubble should be used if you wish to remove a layer of natural or classic synthetic polymer wax (ceramic will resist but will be degraded with repeated washes) in order to best prepare your surface for the following steps. If your vehicle is very dirty, Foam Bubble will be perfect.
If you wish to use a pH-neutral solution, safe for all types of protection, you can turn to Foam Bubble Ph Neutral, also available.
Start by spraying your solution from the bottom up, adjusting your foam lance to achieve sufficient film tension without generating a "whipped cream" effect that would remain static on the panel.
You will notice that Foam Bubble at this dilution of 80ml/1L is extremely foamy, and on a medium-sized vehicle, half a tank is more than enough, as you are forced to adjust the dial toward a more liquid solution.
Allow Foam Bubble to dwell until the film has fully retracted, typically 2-3 minutes, no more. Never leave Foam Bubble or any other alkaline pre-wash agent on surfaces for too long (or when outdoor washing conditions are very hot), as you risk white marks appearing that are difficult to remove.
You will notice above all that the cleaning action of Foam Bubble is convincing, particularly on the greasy film and stuck-on mud, as these fall away quickly after rinsing.
The other possible use of Foam Bubble is as a hard shampoo before renovation, directly after the pre-wash.
Pour approximately 60ml of Foam Bubble into your 8-10L bucket and proceed with your wash as normal. As Foam Bubble foams enormously, I strongly advise pouring the shampoo after filling the bucket and then homogenizing everything with a quick blast of a pressure washer.
The cleaning power of Foam Bubble proves once again to be very effective against residual dirt after the pre-wash and dried insects in particular.
It will also remove old layers of natural waxes applied to the vehicle. The glide of the wash mitt is very good.
The finish left by Foam Bubble is not the best, but the vehicle looks good and few white streaks are observed on the surface. Do not look for waxing agents or water-beading agents (slick shampoo) here — Foam Bubble focuses on the essentials by prioritizing cleaning power.
Conclusion:
FICTECH offers us with Foam Bubble a very interesting and versatile product. It will serve anyone wishing to put all the odds in their favor in order to thoroughly degrease a vehicle before renovation, or a fairly dirty vehicle protected with ceramic to avoid removing the protection (natural or synthetic polymer will be removed). One will however regret a slightly high price compared to the direct competition.
