You may have already known these microfibers, as they have been on sale on the site for a long time, but we had not yet had the opportunity to present them to you in detail.

COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS truly offers a microfiber solution for every application on your vehicle. Whether for the exterior, the interior, your leather, windows, bodywork, etc., you will inevitably find the dedicated quality microfiber.

In this article, we will take you through (or reintroduce for some of you) each microfiber in detail, with its advantages in particular compared to the direct competition.

Silver Fizz:



The largest microfiber offered by COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS. This is a vehicle drying microfiber.
Its distinctive feature lies in the fact that it has a very high weight (700gsm), which gives it a very high absorption capacity (more than 5 times its weight in water).

In addition, you will benefit from a very large drying surface since its size is 90cm x 70cm. This also makes it one of the largest on the market.



Very effective for drying an entire vehicle, Silver Fizz will also be safe for your bodywork, including on delicate varnishes. The type of microfiber used (a blend of polyamide and polyester) ensures perfect glide and absorption.

Silver Fizz will be perfectly suited for drying treated vehicles (natural wax, or synthetic treatment) but can also be suitable for untreated vehicles.





A big positive point of Silver Fizz is that it is very well finished, particularly in terms of stitching. The edges have a silk-type border, very silky therefore, which also helps to limit the risk of micro-scratching the paintwork as much as possible.



Our advice is to wash Silver Fizz thoroughly, by hand or in a machine (30° without fabric softener), before its first use. Indeed, the edge cutting can leave a few lint fibers when it is new.

One final positive point: the price. This microfiber has a recommended retail price of €18.95, which is in fact an excellent quality/price ratio. Most competing microfibers are generally €5 to €10 more expensive.


Black Velvet:



This is, in our opinion, the most versatile microfiber in the COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS range.
Indeed, Black Velvet can be used for almost any job on a vehicle. Whether it is for wiping off polish, wax, a ceramic coating, or a leather cleaner, it will be perfect.

The areas where it will truly excel are wiping off polish and Quick Detailers/Quick Wax.

This microfiber has several advantages. The first is that it is an "edgeless" cloth (without a border). A peripheral laser cut of the microfiber means that you will find no stitching that could micro-scratch your paintwork. It will therefore be safe for all types of surfaces.

Furthermore, this microfiber has the distinctive feature of being double-sided. On one side you will have a long fiber length (long pile) and on the other side shorter fibers (short pile).


This double-sided feature is very important. It allows you to wipe away the maximum amount of product with the long fibers and then turn your microfiber over and perform a finishing wipe on the short pile side. A great advantage when wiping off polish in particular!

Also, its 420gsm weight ensures excellent absorption of liquid products and a high "autonomy" before reaching saturation. As a result, Black Velvet will also be perfect for applying a finishing Quick Detailer, or a heavier Quick Wax.





This is, in our opinion, the must-have from the COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS brand!
Very high quality, this microfiber can also serve for cleaning your interior if you wish, although other references in the brand's range can easily suffice.

The retail price of Black Velvet is very attractive: less than €5 per microfiber (€4.95 recommended retail price) with a size of 40cm x 40cm. Unbeatable!
If we compare it to the major references in the segment (GYEON Polish Wipe, ALCHIMY7 Tip Top, CHEMICAL GUYS Elite Yellow etc.) Black Velvet is once again the best quality/price ratio given its above-average weight.

To top it off: it is available in a pack at an even more attractive price!

An absolute must-have in any amateur or professional detailer's kit!


Bloody Mary:


Bloody Mary is the very first microfiber created by COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS. It is also the densest (800gsm). Even denser than Silver Fizz (700gsm).
This microfiber, of exemplary quality in terms of finish, softness and fiber length, will be particularly suitable for wiping off greasy substances or for work requiring the greatest care on the bodywork.

Wiping off a natural carnauba wax will be its area of predilection. Natural waxes are often greasy or even very greasy and require dense, long fibers to be able to absorb these fatty substances (oils, etc.)



Bloody Mary will allow easy wiping on all types of varnish thanks to its very long fibers and will also provide very high autonomy once again. Only 1 to 2 microfibers will simply be needed to wipe a wax off a large car.



Another possible use for Bloody Mary: waterless cleaning or light dusting of a vehicle. This risky operation requires the use of very high quality microfibers to avoid scratching the surface.
Bloody Mary will be very well suited for this use. Do not hesitate to use several to further minimize the risks.



Let us talk numbers now. Bloody Mary is priced at €9.95 per piece but also comes in a 3-Pack priced at €24.95 (i.e. €8.30/unit). This is once again the best quality/price ratio you can currently find on the market.

Another safe bet, which will quickly become indispensable for all purist enthusiasts and unconditional fans of natural wax.


Blue Lagoon:



Undoubtedly one of the lesser-known microfibers in the brand, Blue Lagoon is nonetheless a very interesting microfiber in more ways than one.

Indeed, this short-pile microfiber will be perfect for the second wipe of a ceramic coating layer, for example. Sufficiently thick but not too much so, it is of superior quality and has no peripheral stitching, therefore no risk for the bodywork.



If needed, Blue Lagoon can also be suitable for wiping leather soaps or interior Quick Detailers, but the Ultra Fine will be more than sufficient for this.

The very short and very tight fibers of Blue Lagoon will otherwise more generally serve for any high-finish wiping on a varnish (wax haze, ceramic coating, quick detailer or quick wax).


One final advantage to using Blue Lagoon: its very long lifespan! Finally, its price is truly modest (€3.95/unit or €29.95 for 12, i.e. €2.50) and you will have a hard time finding better quality at this price.



Ultra Fine (Yellow or Blue):



One of the oldest and best-known references in the COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS range: the Ultra Fine.

Available in Yellow or Blue, there is no difference between the two except for the color. Some detailers assign a color code to the use of their microfibers (Yellow for exterior or Blue for interior, for example).

With a density of 300gsm, the Ultra Fine is a high quality microfiber compared to what you can find in mass retail.
Its peripheral stitching does not allow its use on varnish, especially if these are delicate.

On the other hand, it will be perfect for all interior work: wiping leather soaps, plastic, vinyl, leather, carpet and rug protection treatments.

Its high weight still gives the Ultra Fine a great absorption capacity.





It can still be used on exterior surfaces such as bare plastics, rims, or for more basic work such as engine cleaning, wheel arches, etc.

It is an excellent basic microfiber with an excellent quality/price ratio. €2.95/unit or €19.95/12 pieces.


Microfiber Glass:

A specific microfiber for glass surfaces. The Microfiber Glass has a particular texture, without fibers, so as not to leave fine lint as it passes over the glass.



Microfiber Glass will be reserved exclusively for wiping glass cleaners or products intended for LCD screens on GPS devices, for example. Its very particular texture will allow streak-free wiping in a single pass.





With a surface area of 40x40cm it will be sufficient for wiping your windows. A second or third microfiber will however be needed to also clean the interior windows.

Microfiber Glass is also a microfiber that withstands various washes well, at a modest price: €3.95/unit.


Cosmo:

The last in this series of microfibers: Cosmo
Dedicated solely to the finishing wipe of ceramic coating treatments, this microfiber is remarkably effective.



Its very soft, alcantara-like texture will be safe for delicate wiping, including on fragile varnishes. Note that the cut is "edgeless", therefore without stitching.



A ceramic treatment always requires two or even three wipes depending on how greasy the product is. Cosmo will be used solely for the final wipe.
The quality of this microfiber is there, it is not too rough and has very good "autonomy" when wiping ceramics. A single one will be sufficient to treat an entire vehicle as a finishing step.



Finally, note that Cosmo is available in a pack of 6. The unit price is very affordable (€2.95) once again and often lower than the competition, but it becomes even more attractive when purchased in a pack (€13.95 for 6).

An absolute must-have for all those who apply ceramic coatings.




General conclusion:

COCKTAIL MICROFIBERS proves to be an interesting brand regarding the diversity of the microfiber range it offers in particular. Also, it positions itself with an unbeatable quality/price ratio.
Our personal favorites are the Black Velvet and the Silver Fizz for their versatility and high manufacturing quality.

After several machine washes, the microfibers retain their absorption capacity and softness. Make sure to wash them at low temperature (30°C without fabric softener).

Recommended for enthusiasts and professionals, especially since the pack prices are very attractive.
