CARPRO, a very well-known and recognized brand for its ceramic protection treatments in particular, has recently expanded its range of accessories with new drying microfibers, but also with this interior cleaning glove: InnerScrub.

A totally unprecedented product thanks to the materials it uses (soft microfiber gloves for dusting have existed for a very long time); InnerScrub will allow you to clean virtually all your interior surfaces.

Will it dethrone the simple and trusty cleaning brush that everyone knows? We test it for you!

Presentation:

InnerScrub has generated quite a buzz for its innovative side, but also for its versatility.
Equipped with a polyester-based microfiber structure, the feel seems quite rough, even very rough at first glance. If you look a little more closely, you notice a double fibered structure: the first and longest is composed of very fine nylon-type bristles, similar to those on traditional leather brushes. The second is shorter and softer.



Next, you can notice that there is an elastic wristband, similar to washing gloves for example. However, this one seems really loose, less well-fitted and of lower quality than a GYEON Smoothie glove for example. You don't feel well locked inside. There is also no sewn separation inside as you can find on some washing gloves, which is practical to prevent the glove from rotating on itself. Small hands like mine will likely be somewhat disadvantaged in this regard.



Nevertheless, the usable surface area of InnerScrub is very adequate, given that both sides can be used.



Use:

You can use InnerScrub on practically all your interior surfaces. Avoid lacquered black inserts which are very (too) fragile surfaces — they will inevitably get micro-scratched when the glove passes over them.
On the other hand, you can clean your leathers, faux leathers, plastics and even fabrics and carpets if you wish.

Furthermore, you can use any product with the InnerScrub glove: a specific leather cleaner (Doux or Puissant by Colourlock for example), any APC, a degreaser if needed in the case where you would like to use InnerScrub on exterior plastics for example).

In this test, and to stay "corporate", we decided to use Inside by CARPRO. The latter can be used to clean all your surfaces, including leathers and faux leathers.



Spray your preferred cleaner directly onto InnerScrub, dry or previously slightly dampened.

The great advantage of having a glove compared to a simple brush is that you have good product "inertia", meaning the glove can hold a lot of product in its fibers, and you can use less for your cleaning.

Then scrub your surfaces such as your faux leathers or leathers thoroughly.

The first observation is that the time saved compared to brush cleaning is considerable, and you start to wonder why detailing brands didn't think of releasing such an accessory sooner...



Indeed, cleaning a seat back will take you at least four times less time, for equally good effectiveness in the end.

I would readily draw an analogy between cleaning with this glove versus a classic cleaning brush, and decontamination with a mitt or traditional clay. Larger working surface, less time spent, efficiency. We are in the same situation.

Then, a second undeniable advantage of InnerScrub is that it allows easy access to all the folds and gaps of seats in particular (the typical backrest-seat junction), where a standard brush reaches its ergonomic limits.





After a few friction movements, you notice directly that InnerScrub does its cleaning work perfectly, with dirt becoming visible immediately.



Don't hesitate to switch sides as soon as the first one is saturated with dirt, or quickly clean your glove between two elements by rinsing it under water.

You can therefore also use InnerScrub on all interior plastics (raw, foam-backed, etc.)
The process remains identical and the effectiveness just as good.



A simple observation is the product loss you can have when applying to a brush where the cleaner sinks deep into the bristles without staying on the surface. With the glove, you work the product directly thanks to the short bristles.





Once your cleaning operations are complete, proceed to clean the glove. Either in a washing machine up to 40°C without fabric softener, or directly in warm water with a little microfiber/pad cleaner such as Fictech Smooth and a brush for a deep cleaning of the fibers. It will come out nice and clean.







Conclusion:

CARPRO offers us with InnerScrub a fantastic accessory. Practical, effective, versatile and ultimately quite affordable (around €12) as it will last you a very long time.

Featuring many advantages over the simple and trusty old cleaning brush, InnerScrub will undoubtedly become your best ally for saving precious time in your interior cleaning sessions. It will reach the tight spaces where the brush cannot go.

The only downside, though not a drama given the attractive price, is the slightly "cheap" wristband that would deserve a slightly better-thought-out finish. Also, why not offer two sides with a different bristle density/firmness? A lead to explore, Mrs. CARPRO....

Ultimately, an excellent accessory, almost indispensable, which fully deserves its place in the "Perfect Detailer" toolkit!
