Product overview:

GYEON recently launched some very interesting new products. Among all its new releases, there are 3 references we wanted to present to you, which will be very useful during the maintenance phase of a treated vehicle, for example. Let us mention: Q2M APC (all-purpose cleaner), Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner, and Q2M RestartWash.



Q2M APC overview:

As its name clearly indicates, this is an APC, i.e. an all-purpose cleaner, suitable for both interior and exterior use.

Available in concentrated format, Q2M APC should be diluted according to the type of work and the surface to be treated. Here are a few dilution examples:

- 1:15 Interior cleaning (carpets, mats, headliner, hard or foam plastics)
- 1:10 Light exterior work
- 1:5 Dirty exterior work (sills, wheel arches, etc.)
- 1:1 Extremely dirty work (dirty engine bay, oil stains, residual paraffin, etc.)

Upon opening, the product does not smell too strongly of caustic soda or other detergent odors as with some competing products — which is a welcome quality. Nor is it fragranced like Fictech's Turbo, for example.

For the exterior work on the test vehicle, we will dilute 60ml of Q2M APC in a 600ml dilution bottle (1:10 dilution). The vehicle is well-maintained, so in practice there is no need to overdose the product. This will also allow us to verify the cleaning action in an unfavorable high-dilution scenario.





Use Q2M APC on all your exterior elements during the pre-wash phase and, if possible, assist with a pre-wash foam for the bodywork. The cleaning action at 1:10 is already perfectly respectable and will clean your maintained tire sidewalls and wheel arches without any issue.

No bad surprises with Q2M APC — it does its job without any issues, surfaces are cleaned quickly. We did not get the chance to test it on interior surfaces, but if it can handle the tough stuff, the lighter work is a given.

Compared to competing products, Q2M APC is not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. Compared to Koch Chemie's Green Star priced at €8.95 per liter, Q2M APC appears more expensive, but it works out to €1.54/L of diluted product at a 1:10 dilution, which remains very economical in use.


Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner:

We were already very familiar with Q2M Iron, the brand's ferrous decontaminant — highly effective at removing ferrous particles from bodywork, rims, glass, and more.

Today, GYEON offers us Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner, a regular-use wheel cleaner that also includes a ferrous decontaminant. Thus, for vehicles that are driven frequently and/or have fairly hard brake pads generating a lot of dust, Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner will be the perfect solution.



Upon opening, the smell of the ferrous decontaminant in the product is immediately recognizable. The odor is unpleasant but less pronounced than with Q2M Iron (likely due to the product concentration).

Above all, the first notable point is that the product has a very pronounced gel texture. This is the real difference in application compared to Q2M Iron, which is too liquid. The advantage of the gel texture of Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner is that the product will cling very well to the surface (on a dry or wet base).
It is a very good thing that they thought to evolve the product in this direction.






The chemical reaction occurring on contact with ferrous particles (purple color) is very pronounced. This indicator is important to know when to start brushing and agitating the product.

Overall, a dwell time of 2–3 minutes on the surface will be sufficient. Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner does not dry out too quickly and works well.





Note that Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner will preserve any synthetic protection you may have applied to your rims, such as ceramic coatings, for example. This product should truly be considered a regular maintenance product.

Agitation with brushes gives excellent results. Cleaning is done effortlessly and brake dust is removed easily.
The finish left after rinsing is also very good (worthy of an Iron 7HD Alchimy7).





In the photo below, you can clearly see the effectiveness of Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner in Before/During/After shots.



For reference, the rims were treated with a multi-layer ceramic coating 10,000 km ago and receive maintenance every two weeks (simple wash).

Ultimately, Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner is a success in every respect: texture, less unpleasant odor, effectiveness, finish. You cannot be disappointed with this product. It will therefore be perfect for regular cleaning and ferrous decontamination during your maintenance washes and will suit all types of rims. Of course, once again, make sure to use it on cold rims only and rinse it off thoroughly.
Undoubtedly less effective for pure ferrous decontamination than Q2M Iron, but its use in maintenance will be perfect.

Worth testing on your everyday vehicles!


Q2M Restart Wash:



This is undoubtedly the most interesting new product among the three presented. Q2M Restart Wash.
It is not simply a shampoo. Q2M Restart Wash is a shampoo that allows you to decontaminate a ceramic-coated vehicle's paintwork. Over time, through driving, and outdoor storage, a ceramic-coated vehicle will inevitably accumulate contamination (inorganic, ferrous, etc.).

Q2M Restart Wash was developed with this in mind — to allow you to decontaminate your vehicle periodically while washing it.

This shampoo should be used very occasionally, approximately every 3 to 6 months (to be adjusted based on the vehicle's mileage).

As is customary for the brand's shampoos, the dosage is very economical. 25ml/10L is sufficient.



Unlike Q2M Bathe+, Q2M Restart Wash will not add any ceramic protection during the wash nor enhance the hydrophobic effect. However, it will restore the ceramic coating by decontaminating it. The hydrophobic effect can thus be recovered (but not enhanced) simply by removing all contaminants from the surface.

Using Q2M Restart Wash together with Q2M Smoothie is ideal — a pleasant foam and suitable glide.
Q2M Restart Wash also proves very effective against honeydew (fine sap haze) and allows for a soft lacquer feel to be restored.





The test vehicle has had a ceramic coating applied several months ago. After applying Restart Wash and rinsing, it can be observed that the paintwork is freed from surface impurities and regains its hydrophobic properties as on day one.





Also note that it is possible (and recommended) to use Q2M Restart Wash in a foam cannon during the pre-wash phase. This allows you to thoroughly decontaminate the haze present by leaving the foam to dwell for a few minutes. Since the shampoo alone does not foam enough, we recommend adding a small amount of foaming agent (Q2M Foam, Valet Pro Ph Neutral Snow Foam, etc.).



The finish left by Q2M Restart Wash will of course not be on par with Q2M Bathe+ or any other ceramic shampoo that boosts protection — but that is not what it is designed for.
It fully fulfills its role as a decontaminating shampoo and, in a sense, helps preserve the ceramic coating by regularly freeing it from external aggressions.

A must-have for everyone who has their vehicle ceramic-coated. One might even wonder why manufacturers did not think of this sooner.

In terms of price, Q2M Restart Wash is available at €16.95 for 400ml, which is in line with the brand's other shampoos. It remains economical in the sense that you can perform approximately 15 to 20 washes — washes that you will only carry out every 3 to 6 months…


General conclusion:

As is customary with GYEON, the products are excellent and, for some, truly innovative. The ease of use and the results obtained with the brand are always appreciated.
A particular favorite: Q2M Iron Wheel Cleaner. Excellent in every respect, truly.
Q2M Restart Wash is no slouch either — it will be truly useful in your maintenance phase.
As for Q2M APC, its versatility of use and multi-surface effectiveness will be appreciated.
