Angel Wax - Pre-wash and Wash

ANGELWAX is a highly reputed and recognized brand, notably for its protective waxes. Recently launched, the Enigma range (Shampoo, AIO, QED, Ceramic Wax) has received enormous success worldwide for the application and above all the results of the products.

We will therefore first look at some of the brand's flagship preparation products, including a pre-wash agent (Fast Foam) and a ceramic-based maintenance shampoo (Enigma Shampoo).


Fast Foam:

AngelWax offers a cleaning pre-wash foam called Fast Foam.
It will respect all AngelWax treatments applied (natural as well as synthetic), being pH neutral.

The dilution recommended by the manufacturer is approximately 1:9, i.e. 100ml in your foam cannon.




The foam generated by FastFoam is not extremely dense but that is not the purpose of the product. The big advantage of FastFoam is the product's ability to generate a taut film that clings to the bodywork without running off too quickly, in order to properly encapsulate contaminants and facilitate their removal by rinsing.

To illustrate, a photo taken during the application of the product, and a second one after approximately 10 minutes of dwell time.





Fast Foam will be respectful of natural or synthetic treatments applied to treated vehicles. You can therefore use it for regular maintenance.



Worth noting is an interesting but not overly effective cleaning capacity, which is perfectly acceptable for a maintenance pre-wash foam. Rinsing is carried out without difficulty, without surface crystallization even at high concentration.


Enigma Shampoo:

The first product to use in the Enigma range from AngelWax will be the shampoo: Enigma Shampoo. This shampoo will be ideal for maintaining your Enigma Ceramic Wax ceramic protection from the brand for example, but also for maintaining ceramic protections from other brands.

Indeed, Enigma Shampoo is based on silicon dioxide, i.e. ceramic (SiO2).

You will immediately recognize the products in the Enigma range by their gold lettering instead of the silver lettering on the other products in the classic AngelWax range.



The recommended dosage for this shampoo will be approximately 30-40ml for a 10L bucket of cold water.

As is often the case with ceramic-based shampoos, little foam is generated upon dilution, but that is not the concern, as it must be remembered: foam plays no role in cleaning. At best it helps to further encapsulate contaminants.

We therefore recommend gently agitating your shampoo bucket with a blast of a pressure washer just before dipping your wash mitt for the first time.

The lubrication feel of the shampoo seems absent (very low-viscosity solution) but this does not prevent the mitt from gliding smoothly over the surface.

The scent then — it is reminiscent of a fragrance offered by the brand (Air Freshener Bliss) that brings woody and fruity notes. Very pleasant for your wash.



The result of the Enigma Shampoo wash is quite impressive. Indeed, an enormous amount of gloss after this wash. It is not uncommon to have this effect with ceramic shampoos, but Enigma Shampoo truly adds a notable extra. A definite plus if you wish to enhance the aesthetic appearance of your treated vehicle.



Also worth noting is an interesting slick effect (water tends to run off more easily, with very little residual water to dry off).

General conclusion on the products presented:


We have just reviewed 2 products that are either among the brand's classics or among its flagships (Enigma Shampoo).
Fast Foam offers some very interesting points: cleaning capacity and above all a pre-wash film that clings surprisingly long and effectively to the bodywork.

Finally, Enigma Shampoo will delight gloss enthusiasts. An interesting shampoo truly dedicated to the maintenance of ceramic or synthetic protections (Ti-22 for example). Pleasant to use and to smell, it does its job perfectly by providing a real visual boost. A sure bet. We expected nothing less from the Enigma range.
