Alchimy7 P7 Wheel Cleaner

ALCHIMY7 is a highly reputed French brand, particularly known for its preparation and valeting products. One of the flagship references in their range is the P7 wheel cleaner. Its alkaline-based formula allows for effective and rapid cleaning of even very dirty wheels in minimal time.
Dilutable, this product available in several sizes and large volumes will allow professional car wash operators and detailers to find a prime ally for cleaning grimy wheels.

Dilution:

P7 is therefore a product delivered neat in 1L, 2.5L or 5L. The dilution of P7 can be very economical since on regularly maintained wheels, it can go up to 1:15 (approximately 60ml in a 1L spray bottle), while remaining effective.

Of course, on dirtier wheels, the chosen dilution will need to be more concentrated (up to 1:1 in extreme cases).

For our test wheels, we chose a 1:10 dilution.



Usage:

P7 is a very liquid product, especially once diluted. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to spray P7 onto dry, unrinsed wheels so that the product can act on the surface before running off.

An unpleasant odor from the product (soda base) will be noticeable, similar to detergent-based cleaning products.



Allow the product to act for 1 or 2 minutes maximum on the surface, then agitate with a brush, detailing brush, etc.

Note that as with any alkaline-based product, P7 should never be used on unfinished bare metal surfaces (e.g. chrome wheels, uncoated raw aluminum wheels, etc.) as there is a risk of whitish streaks attacking the material, which are difficult or even impossible to remove.
Never let it dry in the sun either, as there is a risk of the product catalyzing the surface.



Once the product has been agitated, proceed to rinsing, ideally at high pressure to ensure complete removal of all product residue.



You will immediately notice that P7 is remarkably effective. The wheels come out impeccable, even fine brake pad deposits are removed.

The most impressive aspect is undoubtedly the finish left by P7. The wheels shine so much you would think they had been waxed. A big plus!



On the 50/50 below, you can observe the gain in shine after applying P7 (right side).

Conclusion:

ALCHIMY7 lives up to its reputation with a P7 that is truly very effective, even at very high dilution. The effectiveness/quantity/price ratio becomes almost unbeatable when ordering the very large sizes (a 5L gallon yields up to 80L of finished solution!).

The "slick" side of the product (very little residual water after rinsing and drying) leaves a beautifully shiny finish, which is very appealing.

P7 can be used for regular maintenance and even to clean ceramic-coated wheels at a high dilution.

Ferrous decontaminants had better watch out.
