Description:

A dressing designed for both tires, plastics and seals, Brillanty offers a solution to treat your surfaces durably, without a greasy effect, leaving a truly satin finish true to the original look.

Brillanty is offered with a seal and plastic applicator (Pumky) to facilitate application on narrow surfaces. (Pumky FREE until end of March 2018, then sold separately!)

Usage:
Before using Brillanty on your tires, plastics and seals, it is recommended to degrease your surfaces with a suitable degreaser or an APC (All Purpose Cleaner). We recommend U7 from the same brand, which diluted 1:5 in a spray bottle will allow you to properly prepare your surfaces before applying Brillanty.

Avoid spraying the degreaser directly on the tire sidewalls as the product could attack any wax you may have applied to your rims. Instead, apply it to an old microfiber cloth, loading it well with degreaser, and then rub the tire sidewall.

Once your tire is well degreased, pour Brillanty directly onto a simple foam applicator (our choice goes to the Tyre Sponge, a simple but effective applicator) and apply the product by spreading it well. Be careful because the product, although greasy to the touch, is relatively liquid compared to other competing products. As a result, you tend to apply more of it.

You immediately notice upon application that the product, though appearing shiny, is not as greasy as some competing silicone-based products. By letting it penetrate the surfaces for a few seconds, you also notice that Brillanty changes its finish, going from shiny to satin, which is an excellent thing. Indeed, you generally want to achieve a satin finish true to the original rather than an overly greasy and extremely shiny result...

In the photo above, you can appreciate the finish left by Brillanty on the tire sidewall; the result will tend to become even more satin after application.

It should be noted that depending on the manufacturer and the type of rubber, the result of any tire dressing will differ. Indeed, this test was carried out on Michelin tires, but the result would likely be different on Asian rubber for example. Therefore, you can apply a second coat 15 minutes after the first to enhance the result if needed.

Brillanty is a multi-surface dressing. It can therefore also be used on exterior seals. Alchimy7 has thought about the application challenges faced by the Detailer in narrow and tight spaces. The "Pumky" applicator with its foam (FREE until end of March 2018 for any purchase of a bottle of Brillanty. Sold separately afterwards) will allow the Detailer to easily apply Brillanty on thin seals or even on low-profile tire sidewalls.

Pour a little Brillanty into the Pumky reservoir (having taken care to remove the cap from the bottle to facilitate the flow).

As Brillanty is quite greasy, we recommend masking the adjacent bodywork elements to avoid spreading it on them and potentially damaging your bodywork treatment.

Apply a certain pressure on the Pumky reservoir and "pull" the product along the entire length of the seal, pressing the foam against the surface. Then wipe away the greasy residue with a microfiber cloth.

Likewise, Brillanty can be used on raw plastic elements. It will also be necessary to degrease them beforehand to promote adhesion.

Use Pumky on narrow elements or apply Brillanty directly with an applicator on larger elements (bumper, windshield frame, etc.)

The finish left by Brillanty after light wiping is really good and brings out the black of the plastics as originally intended.

Advantages

Conclusion:

As usual, Alchimy7 offers a well-thought-out product, having carefully considered the user's needs in terms of finish and ease of application. Thus, Brillanty will enhance your tires, plastics and seals quickly and ensure good durability (hydrophobic effect and resistance to contaminants). The idea of additionally developing the Pumky applicator is excellent, as it proves very practical in tight spaces. Only the durability of the applicator foam gives us pause, especially if it is used on low-profile tire sidewalls, as the tire tread may eventually damage the foam.

An excellent, versatile dressing that will satisfy the Detailer looking for a finish true to the original.
